T+A elektroakustik HV Series Components @david_ten Does your 3100 integrated have the Room Correction option installed? If so, can you comment on the effectiveness of the feature.
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. @aniwolfe Thanks for the feedback. I really loved the sound of the preamp on the 2170. If I get the 3400, which I expect too, I will give it the 400 hours and enable RP. I need DSP in my small now treated room. I am hoping to get some speakers tha...
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. The Lyngdorf web site does not seem to have the preamp only version. If it did I would have just bought that and be done with. I want to get the latest software bits on the RoomPerfect and it seems to me that they have discontinued the preamp only...
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. @bullitt5094 I only have a pair of KEF LS50's left at home. I needed to evaluate this unit with more demanding speakers. The dealer has offered to have a DSP shootout for me in his glass walled conference room. It is slightly bigger than my room bu...
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. @grannyring You state that the Lyngdorf is not meant to be used with a separate amp. The only reason this could be is if the signal from the preamp to the amp is further adjusted via ROOM PERFECT. I did not use RP in my demo so maybe I missed tha...
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. Rereading this long thread I saw the following quote.Lyngdorf will need the following to sound its best;- let it burn in for at least 200 hours before any decision making critical listening- needs a good power cord and conditioner- leave it fully ...
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400. I went and demoed the Lyngdorf 2170 with Paradigm Persona 5F speakers. They are not that hard to drive. I was not impressed by the amplification on the Lyngdorf. When I switched to Lyngdorf pre-amp output to a Simaudio 860A amp the sound was incre...
Best beginner system about 5,000.00 What I am using now in my office is really good for the price. KEF LS50 ($1000 new) + Peachtree Nova 150 integrated ($1300 new). I also have a tuner and SACD player hooked up to the Peachtree (not need by everyone). I stream music from my computer...
Big speakers in small room at moderate volume levels https://audiophilestyle.com/ca/reviews/kef-ls50-david-versus-jbl-4722-cinema-goliath-speaker-compari...I think what I am hearing now with the LS50's is what the above article is showing with measurements.
Big speakers in small room at moderate volume levels @gosta When I had my speakers on my desk I found that using the low cost isoacoustic stands helped a lot by elevating the speaker above the desk. It also angled the sound away from the desk. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the ARC2.
Big speakers in small room at moderate volume levels @tomic601 I will take a look at the Home Depot panels. I can walk to Home Depot so it will be easy to check out.I am currently listening to Led Zeppelin’s debut and I was thinking why does this sound so good now. I know the acoustic panels made a ...
Big speakers in small room at moderate volume levels Now it is time to figure out what gear to get. First thing is to get a preamp that is DSP capable. I want something that has defeatable DSP and also good quality DSP. I do not need DSP with the KEF LS50’s. I may not with the TAD ME1 but the other ...
Big speakers in small room at moderate volume levels I have added photos of the new setup. I removed the CD rack from the room,it was in the way of the left side wall panel. The setup I have is likely what most people with treatments have done. It has really transformed my room. The LS50s sound rea...
Preview: CODA Technologies new generation number#8 Stereo Amplifier I have been thinking of a CODA for about 6 months now. I was tempted to buy that 50 watt Class A amp they have for $4.5K but I needed a bit more power for the speakers I owned at that time. I am glad I waited and this new #8 sounds interesting. I ...
Big speakers in small room at moderate volume levels That TAD ME1 price drop was brought to my attention last night. The recommendation in the past was try the Harbeth SHL5+ and if price is not a concern then the TAD ME1 is the way to go (a better Harbeth). That was when the TAD was $15K with stands... |
