Magico S5 vs KEF Blade 2 vs TAD Evo One vs YG Kipod II Sig w/pwr bass
" Really, KEF? Not even in the same zipcode as Magico or YG. The TAD is just plain harsh, so even though it’s detailed, it’ll drive you batty. I’ve also seen people recommending Focal... Must be jokers, for sure..."Jokes on you buddy, Go for a hea...
Magico S5 vs KEF Blade 2 vs TAD Evo One vs YG Kipod II Sig w/pwr bass
You should also have a listen to the KEF Reference line and do a comparison to the Magico non-MKII versions. I think you maybe surprised at how good the KEF’s sound. The price is also a heck of a lot cheaper. At the same LA show I heard the KEF Ref...
Magico S5 vs KEF Blade 2 vs TAD Evo One vs YG Kipod II Sig w/pwr bass
KEF Blades + Luxman m900u + Luxman c900u. The amp and pre-amp are $15K each now (price lowered).I have heard all of these separately for long periods at stores or shows. I have not heard them together but my feeling is this will sound great. There...
Need a "PHYSICALLY" smaller and lighter amp to replace my BAT VK-200 at 70lbs
My next amp is the Benchmark AHB2 for my office system,https://benchmarkmedia.com/blogs/reviewsI may get 2 of them just in case I get bigger speakers in the office. These amps supposedly can play with large speakers running as monoblocks. They hav...
System Upgrade Recommendations
Bryston warranty is transferable. For new gear you need the original sales receipt from an authorized dealer. Almost everyone who sells newer Brystons on A'Gon have this receipt. When you send amp for repair you need to send the original receipt.O...
Best amp for KEF LS50
I bought the A23 for $500 on eBay and it has done a great job at that price point. Now the amp is dying but I got 4-5 years out of it in my office system. KEF used to demo the LS50 with the A23 when the LS50 first came out in the USA.
Best amp for KEF LS50
Bigridge,What type of sound do you like? The reason I ask is because I am close to buying the Benchmark amp to go with my KEF LS50 and Benchmark DAC2. Your dissatisfaction with the Benchmark is surprising to read since all the prior reports I have...
Thiel 7.2 - Classe, Krell or Bryston?
I heard these amps on sale here at A'Gon at the dealer (Bryston reps were demoing). They were driving Magico speakers costing over $150K. They sounded great then and will sound great with your Thiels. Now is a great time to buy a 28B-SST2).https:/...
KEF Blade 2 as replacement for Reference 107/2
If you exclude the bass of the Blades (play something acoustic) and compare to the LS50 the Blades are still way better. The Blades disappear and give the best soundstage I have heard. It also has the largest sweet spot of any speaker I have heard...
Devialet for Wilson Audio Sasha 2 Speakers
To all the people complaining when a dealer posts here. "We" is not me. I personally love to hear dealer comments on A'Gon. I find that someone who spends the whole day dealing with audio related issues would have something interesting to say. I a...
Kef 207/2 ---Kef Blades
The Blades are awesome. I can only compare the Blades with the new KEF Reference line (the most expensive and least expensive models) and I find that the Reference line is very good but the Blades just disappear from the soundstage. That is the mo...
Thiel speaker model range
The CS 3,7 is one of the all time great speakers. Unfortunately, I never had the space for it. You could find it used for some eye popping low prices. When Jim died I lost interest in Thiel since they went a different direction with their designs.

Luxman Audio Gear - what is happening with them here in USA
The prices for 2017 have dropped. For example, the C900u preamp was $20K and now $15K, same for the matching amp. I had the 2017 price list emailed to me from the new distributer, jeff.sigmund@luxmanamerica.com.  They are trying to have similar pr...
Paradigm Personas anyone heard them
It was the Persona 5F. The problem with the speakers was that the room was way too small. I also did not like the tube electronics used (not a tube fan) nor did I like the long wall placement of the speakers. The drivers were way too close to your...
