KEF ls50 meta’s are on the way
The back to the speaker listener position is how I listen to my LS50s in my 12x11x9 room. I kind of like it, not looking at a speaker makes me just listen. I have no choice in this positioning. Speaker does not completely disappear like some other...
KEF LS50 Meta
@mapman  If you are going to have both versions in the same room can you test out the following claim. the LS50 Meta can also be operated close to a wall or in the corner of a room. We literally moved the compact loudspeakers and stands in front ...
KEF LS50 Meta
If you ever go to a KEF Blade demo, one thing they so is to put quarter on edge and balance it on top of the speaker. Then they crank some tunes real loud. The quarter does not move and stays balanced on its edge. Love the Blade.
KEF LS50 Meta
I did not consider the KEF Reference for my speaker upgrade because they ideally need to be placed a bit away from the front wall. It would be great if this Meta stuff makes placement of the Reference and even Blade more flexible.A couple of other...
Hegel H390 or NAD M33 for Bowers and Wilkins 802D2 speakers?
The Soundstage web site (which I am a big fan off) has reviewed almost all the Hegels and also the new Purifi modules (as in the NAD). They loved the Hegels but have said the Purifi are in the category of very expensive reference gear. When I hear...

KEF is awesome. Good to see them upgrade their lineup. https://audiophilestyle.com/ca/bits-and-bytes/kefs-new-ls50-collection-r946/
KEF LS50 Meta
I wonder if this means the speakers can be placed closer to the front wall? I expect the same Meta tech to go to the Reference line.

Interesting feedback on the Abyss. Very curious on that now.Another amp I want to check out is the new T+A HA 200. T+A make some impressive DACs and this unit has a built in DAC.
Decent tuner with a headphone output and volume control
A little update. I now have both my tuners hooked up in my office with indoor antenna's on each and a Magnam Dynalab Signal Sleuth on the MD 102 tuner. https://www.xdrguy.com/xdr-f1hds-for-sale.html The XDR on FM and even HD is great at picking u...
Best Location for Best Cable
Thanks. The Benchmark StarQuads are very good cables and I would not have looked at anything else except for the fact that I had to get my Audience cables upgraded due to damage of the AU24 and AU24e originals. They are a tiny bit better than the ...
Speaker cables under floorboards - a good or bad idea?
I would get a preamp + amp combo that supported long runs of XLR cables. You could stuff those cables under the floor board easier (with respect to sound quality) than the speaker cable. I know the professional grade Benchmark StarQuad XLR that I ...

Thanks. Yes, I was referring to the Meze Empyrean. The Abyss Phi TC was another I was looking at but I am under the impression that it is a bit finicky with placement on the head. I move my head around a lot to view 6 office computer monitors and ...

I have been to this store 3 times and it is one of my favourites in Los Angeles. They have amazing gear and were very pleasant to deal with. I demoed 2 speakers there the first time I went. Sunil wanted me to hear a much more expensive Wilson Alex...
