Are there other people like me ? Amazed by their low cost system :)
You sound like a nice guy. But many of your posts sound like you have a beef with higher end gear. There is more to higher end gear than just speakers and room acoustics! And BTW, who is this Jay guy you are referring to?

Have you ever compared your low cost system to higher end gear? It could be a case if ignorance is bliss. But if you enjoy your system that is all that matters!

I rescind those recommendations that I gave. I don’t think they are as directional that you are looking for!
Excellent Solid State or Hybrid Monoblocks Recommendations
Gotcha!

Why do you need that much power for 89db sensitive speakers. Excuse me but I'm just curious!

The LS6 is rear ported so placement would be critical. How close to the rear wall will the speakers be placed and what is your budget? I can only recommend a speaker that I have owned. I have never owned any Spendor from the classic line!

I have owned both. I preferred the non XD! BTW, since you are going to use a larger room the HL5 is the Harbeth I would suggest. I like them so much better than the M30! My buddy owns the M30.1 and loves them. FYI: I have owned every Harbeth minus...
A great interview with David Chesky.
This is one of the best Jazz recordings that I own! Chesky Records circa '92!

I’ve owned those Spendors and the larger Harbeth M30. In your size room I would keep the Spendors. BTW, you should stick with the LS3/5a type of speaker. The Harbeth P3ESR is my favorite shoe box size speaker. Here is one of many positive reviews!...
Benchmark AHB2 in Mono Block Configuration
I’ve owned many different Harbeths including the C 7. Have you ever considered using a tube amp? The combination of both is outstanding. I am using Quicksilver 70 watt mono amps with the Harbeth HL5.  50 watts minimum is sufficient with those Harb...

Thanks for posting!
Help . . . I’m dumber than my active speakers!
Bite the bullet and move on to somethin’ else. It sounds like that speaker is not your cup of tea and never will be!!
Looking for a full featured tube preamp similar to McIntosh C22
You will be spinnin’ your wheels finding a preamp with the budget and features that you want. The McIntosh C-8 ( $4000 ) has those features but it cost more than your budget allows!
Why did this 1975 amp sound so good?
Tandberg made outstanding audio gear! Tandberg TR-2075   This is the Tandberg TR-2075 from Norway. It was built from 1975-1977 and retailed for $999.00. The Tandberg’s unique styling with the large square push buttons and dark blue meter...
SVS Subwoofer Connection
I don’t see why it can’t be done that way. Why not give SVS a call? I’m sure they will let you know if you can do it without any problems!
