Dynaudio burn in time and how you do it... My C1's sounded great right out of the box. After about 100 hrs they did sound pretty bad. At around 200 hrs they back to sounding real good again. At 350 - 400 hrs they finally sounded great. I just looped cds day and night till I hit 500hrs.

Bookshelf vs Floorstanders I my opinion monitors will sound good in any room. That being said I would also say monitors do not have the frequency ranges of floorstanders. Add a sub and you may exceed the range of most floorstanders. And floorstanders (I would also consider ...
Worth upgrading my sub? I would consider upgrading the sub cable. I have a Rel B3 and the stock cable is horrible at best. I personally have a Nordost baseline made to Rel specs. Huge difference for the better. Something to consider. I'm not saying to get Nordost but try...
Speaker cables for Dynaudio C1 I'm using Nordost Freys with my C1's. Very fast and detailed but what sold me on them was the additional 'air' between the instruments and vocals. They also seemed the most balanced in tonality from top to bottom. Best to demo any cable considerat...

Alternatives to Klipsch Forte II Sorry I replied before I saw you room size. Either would be too much.
Alternatives to Klipsch Forte II Have to agree on the KLF20's or 30's - my son had the 20's and now has the 30's. Personally I think the 30's are too much for his room. Also I am far from a Klipsch lover but my son loves loud and in your face. That being said I still recommend bo...
Connecting a subwoofer..... Ideally you want a sub out. Rel subs have a high level input that taps off the speaker connection right at the amp (or integrated). There may other sub manufacturers that have a similar high level input.
Shorten those lengthy power cords? Consider resale (if that day comes) otherwise go for it.
Naim Nait 5i vs. Primare i21? Congrats RobI never compared the 2 side by side but I would have done the same. Personally I thought the Naim was more musical where the Primare a bit dry sounding. They were 2 different places with different speakers - sources - cables - room tre...
Speaker cables for Simaudio/ Dynaudio My vote goes for the Nordost Heimdall. I too have the C1s but powered by a Bryston B100. When I demoed speaker cables I had to 'squint' to hear the difference between the Heimdall and Frey (although I did end up buying the Freys). I never audition... |
