Best Audiophile chair around $200 All I have is a Lazy Boy and I do NOT recommend a head rest. Not that when my head is back it sounds terrible but everything sounds so much better when I sit straight up.
Proac response 2.5 or Dynaudio Special 25 As a Dyn C1 owner I would say (if you really have the itch) to listen to the C1's (especially the MKII/Sig) on equipment like yours. Then make the decision. Again I haven't heard the Proac's and don't know their value but before spending C1 cash g...
Proac response 2.5 or Dynaudio Special 25 Should the Dynaudio be as engaging? And what about Dynaudio c1?Well I'm biased because I do have the C1 Signatures because to me and my taste the C1's are much more engaging. If you have the opportunity give the C1's a listen and decide from there.
To Chi-Fi or Not As a Dyn C1 owner I originally started with a Bryston B100 (100w @ 8ohm - 180w @ 4ohm). Later I upgraded to an Octave V70SE tube integrated (70w @ 4ohm) and all I can say the Octave bettered the Bryston by a lot in every way. The Octave V40SE (40w...
Proac response 2.5 or Dynaudio Special 25 Ejlif My first experience with Dynaudio was at my dealer who had Sim Audio stack as his premium set up. I brought my 20 + year old Mission 782's to compare. It was the comparison that made me fall in love with the Dyn's. Like I said (or maybe didn...
Proac response 2.5 or Dynaudio Special 25 Yashu I was in a hurry with that last post. What electronics did you hear the S25's with. In my preferences if the electronics are very detailed even my C1's wouldn't be as enjoyable. There is a lot in between. I have read in the Dynaudio owners t...
Proac response 2.5 or Dynaudio Special 25 Yashu 2 things makes me listen to the equipment and not the music. First is extremely detailed electronics (ie Sim Audio or Classe) and of course the second is more forward/lively/aggressive speakers.
Proac response 2.5 or Dynaudio Special 25 The S25 Sapphire and Consequence are Dynaudios specialty speakers. They are more forward/lively. If you like that sound but want a little more laid back you may want try the C1's S1.4's or Focus 160's. That's what get my toes a tappin and head a b...
pARTicular racks My shelves are 23"w X 18"d. Overall width of my rack is 35 1/2".
pARTicular racks The TT will be just fine as long as no one bumps the rack. Semi suspension looks to be more stable than mine because 2 posts are coupled to the floor. With my full suspension no posts even touch the floor.
Racks by pARTicular? Check the shelf widths between the full and semi suspension. If you ever need wider (23") it could be costly. I posted to the same question and I forget the full suspension has a provision for the narrower shelf - my bad.
pARTicular racks I have a full suspension Novus with black acrylic shelves. No one who has ever come here has said anything but 'That is 1 cool looking rack'. The full suspension rack is about 2 - 4" wider than the semi suspension. Isolation/decoupling is great. B...
WHAT GOOD IS SPEAKER AND CABLE IMPEDANCE ANYWAY? Rower30 You make a lot of good technical points here but something I learned many years/tears ago. Looking at specs and applying to theory in THIS HOBBY will 9 out of 10 times cost you money. Because what looks great on paper may not have the soun...
Best speaker on used market around 10,000.00 If you had the Dyn C4's and don't think have enough punch consider the Sapphires. A more forward punchy sound again compared to the C4's yet maintaining the Dyn 'house' sound.
Is naim and B&W a good match? Tntate - Naim Nait 5i is very musical. I think though OP who posted don't care for B&W. I personally don't care for B&W either but I did come close to getting a Naim Supernait and also compared it to the 5i and XS. |
