@ja_kub_sz  Forgot to add. My wife loves the big knob on top. She presses it once to stop the music. She used to nuke the tube Amp.  Can the 432 Evo Master do that?    Me myself and I Aduio numskull PO Box Bong Anytown USA
Grimm MU2 Experience
@ja_kub_sz I have a MU1. As. A newbie I had a few hickups (me more than the unit) and reached out to Grimm in Amsterdam and they and their US guy in California were very helpful. Now that I’m fluid operating is easy. Even big knob on top is simp...
Is Apple Music lossless/uncompressed?
To state the obvious. ALAC isn’t on par with higher bit rate FLAC files. I have some ALAC files. At same bit depth they sound just as the FLAC files do.  What you might proffer your friend about is the interface. Apple music is easy to use. But se...

Amplifier Power tubes - important to sound?
@emergingsoul Another excellent discussion. You folks know who you are. Thanks. The most significant tube roll I evet did was to go from KT88’s to KT170’s. They do something magical to the bottom end and low mids. Their shape will not fit in all...

@ghdprentice  I’ve thought something like this repeatedly over the fifty years I pursued high end audio, right before upgrading something only to find it sounding much better. It’s one of the reasons this pursuit is so addictive. Bingo! (Bango...
Rel sub
@fertguy  Yes two. Aside from the modal/room issues a stereo system has a Left and Right channels and connecting one sub only gets you one channel’s worth. The way sound is mixed….one can guess the rest.

Subwoofer Advice
Two subs. One for each channel best. The bigger the room the bigger the sub(s).
Grimm MU2 Experience
For those of you that have the MU2 how's it going?  I have a MU1/Weiss 501 DAC combo and love 'em. I don't know but image the streamer part of the MU2 is much the same as the MU2?  How to sort that one?  Am considering the MU2 in my other system t...

@rvpiano  The only downside to Aurender is that the dynamic range on some tracks is too good; it ranges from almost inaudible to ear splitting in the space of a few minutes. Happily, on most tracks this doesn’t happen. Well, it can’t be perfe...
Looking at these specific preamps give me your opinions
+1 @pindac Raven preamplifier Got one (need to update system page). Full stop. Done. If you stream or will be adding one you could think about the Grimm MU2. Stream/DAC/Pre/Roon core all in one. While I’m all for separates except not with the s...
List Of Small Company Tube Amps
@macg19 I had just the opposite experience with Rogers High Fidelity. I found Roger to be very nice to deal with. I called, worked out a deal and that’s was it. Having tried several other intergraded AMPs the Rogers the KWM-88 keeps on keeping on...
