Luxman - Shindo - Mcintosh ?
@marktheshark So how's that Luxman working out with the Spatials? Been eyeballing it as a possible combo with the X3. Thanks.
BAT VK-76SE tube amp - Balanced Audio Technology
Bumping this thread because I'm interested in this amp. Anyone have experience with it? Thanks.

Good to hear. I appreciate the info.

I'm strongly considering one of these so I'm giving this thread a bump. Any more reflections on its effectiveness or dependability? Thanks.
Wally Wally Wally
I have no experience with the new ones but the old Wallytractors are my favorite alignment devices and I have more than I'd care to list, including MintLPs and UNI-Pro.
New Audio Technica ART9XA Up and Running.....
Congrats on the new cartridge. Does the accompanying literature list the internal impedance, or DCR? I have not found it on the web.Thanks.
Looking for phono preamp suggestions
@almarg Re the Luxman EQ-500, I note that depending on the selection between the two LOMC gain modes it provides it presents the cartridge with a load impedance of either 40 ohms or 2.5 ohms. While the OP’s 0.3 mv cartridge has a recommended load...

Two Turntables? Why
Fun. Enough said.
Jelco tonearms closes
What other companies use the Jelco arms?? Ortofon, of course, but I think the reach is deep, and into places we wouldn’t necessary think. A dealer friend was told this week by a highly-placed industry pro that Graham, e.g., has parts made by Jelco.
Wally Malewicz's legacy lives on...Wallytractor
The old arm-specific Wallytractors are my favorite alignment protractor . Just used one this morning.
Tidal vs ATC
Never heard the ATC, but if I were in that market, Tidal is where I'd look first. I heard them at the CA Audio Show last summer; I think the model was Contriva G2, powered with Bricasti. It was the best sound of the show by far for me.
speed controller for Lenco or Garrard
When in doubt, go to the source. This from Bill at Phoenix: SOTA is making the Condor motor controller which is designed to only work with the 3 phase BLDC motor that comes in the Eclipse package. It does not work with any 115/230VAC motors.
