Speaker Spikes - do the shake test Although I wasn't asked, I don't need test results or a detailed explanation of Coneheads, they said they're from France and that's enough for me. By the way...recording studios have little to do with Audiophilia in the sense most hifi heads would...
Who needs drugs when you've got music? I was referring to an insane and unsubstantiated bit of bad science that has been covered elsewhere ad nauseum, and doctors have NOT found tiny holes in the brains of E users (http://www.thefix.com/content/brain-holes-and-other-meth-myths), althou...
Speaker Spikes - do the shake test I do remember a family with conical structures for heads...they were from France.
Best long low noise RCA cables Long runs of unbalanced signal cable is not a good idea. Ask any guitar player...I actually use a signal booster in my guitar rig for that reason. It's always better to use short (if single ended) signal and longer speaker wires.
Speaker Spikes - do the shake test I've worked in recording studios since 1967...I'm a professional musician, and I've had access to the speakers currently in my living room and they sound better with vibrapods. I am biased by the ears on my head (in my head?).
???Phono Preamp for Rega RP3 W/Elys2 ???? Just an alert...the Pangea P100 power supplies are now 69 bucks (I have 2 of the full price ones), and they work really well with a Cambridge 640P.
Beware of 'Ghost Switching' I was flying my stupid little remote helicoptor and hovered it for a second while adjusting my preamp with its remote...the preamp went ballistic with a runaway volume knob...I had to leap up from the couch to mute it. I learned.

need an amp... Be careful to avoid an amp that DOESN'T work with classic rock from the LATE 70's...or only works with blues...I had an amp that worked with blues but when a passing chord, modulation, or more complex song structure occured it was LIGHTS OUT. I ha...
Tube amp recommendation for Maggie MMG A relatively inexpensive solution is to buy 2 Jolida 502p amps and wire 'em to mono for 120 watts each.
Speaker Spikes - do the shake test I will keep my sorbothane...right where it is! Golden Sound claims that hardness minimizes vibration in advanced military rockets, and "DH Cones reduce the listening fatigue created by vibration. You can play your music louder and longer. DH Cones...
Who needs drugs when you've got music? The story of misinformation about E (a drug I have not used nor do I intend to) is interesting. Some idiot published a fabricated story about E rotting your brain and was utterly discredited soon after, but the myth remains. Misinformation about o...

Speaker Spikes - do the shake test Am I really the only "rubber-head" anti spiker out here?
Newbie needs advice Baloney. Get a TT. Used, inexpensive new, whatever you can afford. The LP world does NOT have to be expensive to be a lot of fun and really rewarding. New things are available like entry level tables, inexpensive phono preamps, etc., that are kill... |
