Speaker Spikes - do the shake test I will keep my sorbothane...right where it is! Golden Sound claims that hardness minimizes vibration in advanced military rockets, and "DH Cones reduce the listening fatigue created by vibration. You can play your music louder and longer. DH Cones...
Who needs drugs when you've got music? The story of misinformation about E (a drug I have not used nor do I intend to) is interesting. Some idiot published a fabricated story about E rotting your brain and was utterly discredited soon after, but the myth remains. Misinformation about o...
Newbie needs advice Regarding new items: Project Carbon...400 bucks includes nice cart, Cambridge 641p under 200 (the Pangea P100 power supply is currently $69 at Audio Advisor...I have 2 of these and they are amazing), Spincleans are $75...set of Mobile Fidelity "ma...
Speaker Spikes - do the shake test Am I really the only "rubber-head" anti spiker out here?
Newbie needs advice Baloney. Get a TT. Used, inexpensive new, whatever you can afford. The LP world does NOT have to be expensive to be a lot of fun and really rewarding. New things are available like entry level tables, inexpensive phono preamps, etc., that are kill...
Who needs drugs when you've got music? Excessive cilantro can harm others...they may never forgive you if you serve that to them. Nobody has ever used excessive parsley, so the jury is out on that one.
Who needs drugs when you've got music? Too much moderation is an excess.
Who needs drugs when you've got music? Herbs in excess can DESTROY an otherwise well made dish. Stop excessive herb abuse before a meal is ruined!
Brand Longevity So now I'm in a bad mood because this thread got me thinking about my Squeezebox Touch...there's nothing quite like an extremely successful item being abandoned by bonehead manufacturers.
Who needs drugs when you've got music? I doubt anybody "needs" to smoke a little non-toxic (by definition) herb for musical listening enhancement, but I am amazed in this day and age that anybody else would care one way or the other. If I get so hammered from single malt I hurl on my D...
Speaker Spikes - do the shake test Everyone but me apparently. The "decoupling" movement (sorbothane or whatever energy absorbtion/dissipation feet instead of spikes under speakers) is utterly in opposition to the spikers. As a former spiker (for MANY years), I found sort of by acc...
AFFORDABLE HIGH VFM RACKS - Opinions Please... Magico racks are designed to withstand jumping on them.
Who needs drugs when you've got music? The current responder score is 3 to 1 in favor of drugs. I also like to smoke pot and listen to music, but I wind up playing guitar for hours instead...so I can't win.
AFFORDABLE HIGH VFM RACKS - Opinions Please... Magico has some nice racks for around $30,000. Really.
Phono preamp suggestions Cambridge 641P since they don't make the 640P anymore. I have a 640P with a power supply upgrade (Pangea P100) and it is a really well made great sounding thing. It's major flaw is that it might not be expensive enough. |
