Pdn, FWIW, all of CCR's catalog has been remastered. 
Variable plasma picture quality
Check your coax cable to be sure it is at least rg61. If you have old rg59 cable the picture really suffers... 
What's up with Harmon Kardon receiver line?
I just bought the HK avr 254 and love it. I researched all the brands mentioned here and dont regret my choice. I heard the Denons were a pain in the ass to set up and their remotes stunk. I just didnt like the look of the Yamaha with all the yell...

Agree Mingles, its just worth noting that the original poster never even said what arm he IS using (assume a P6?). Also,as you noted , it would be good to make a specific recommendation, not just an all encompassing "change the arm "

.I just got the new Oppo 981,and while it wont do Blue Ray, it is outstanding with DVD. Also plays SACd, HDCD,and pretty much anything but BR. Steal for the $. Oppodigital.com

McCormack DNA-1 vs. DNA-125
I owned a DNA 1 for years and was very happy with it, but when I upgraded to the DNA 225 the difference was not subtle.While the DNA 1 is still a great amp for the $, the 225 ( and I would assume the 125 ) is far superior, especially in the lower ...
