Subwoofer to mate with Casta model C's.......
Barcardi,The Revel B15 is a wonderful subwoofer. Fast, punchy, "accurate", as well as deep(17ish Hz with boundry gain). I am using mine with an SVS SB13 Plus(95% same as SB13U) and they mate up very well. Though a bit primitive with today's digita...
Are Klipsch or Usher and Upgrade for Me?
Zd542,All true in what you said. I am a bit of a horn head so a little bias here going on. I am currently(8:41pm ET) watching(listening) to the first Transformers(plain vanilla DVD) movie as I type on my PC which is off axis and 25 feet from the f...
Are Klipsch or Usher and Upgrade for Me?
I see it this way, if Aggielaw's main use for these speakers is HT, then IMO horns are the way to go. There must be a reason that most commercial movie theaters use horn loaded speakers. As a matter of fact Klipsch and JBL pretty much own the comm...
Are Klipsch or Usher and Upgrade for Me?
I think the Klipsch RF-7II/RC-64II combo with the matching RS-62II's will be a huge upgrade for HT(IMO) and can hold it's own with music. Calling this setup dynamic is an understatement. Don't know much about the Ushers. Oh, and the RF-7II speaker...
martin logan grotto or klipsch subwoofer
Which Klipsch sub did you buy?Was it one of the RT or RSW subs?Bill
Please show me how to listen to hi-rez audio embedded in films
I think the only way to do that is to let the player do the decoding and to set the player to stereo LPCM and send it via HDMI. Since your Bel Canto does not have HDMI, you must let the player decode and do the D/A converting and send it analog to...
Opinions on efficient bookshelf speakers 95db?
obert,I picked up a pair of used Klipsch RB-75's last summer and I could not be more pleased. Real wood veneer, 1.75 inch horn titanium compression tweeter, 8 inch woofer. Very efficient at 97dB and spec'd at 42Hz extension at -3dB. I am driving m...
Klipsch Heresy? Crazy to consider?
"I listened to some Heresys yesterday. Did not like them at all. No real clarity to me. Not compared to the speakers I have. Listened on an old Marantz 2250 something."When I had my Marantz 2252B driving my Heresys, I liked the "warmish" sound but...
Klipsch Heresy? Crazy to consider?
I say yes to the Heresy's, Heresy II's or Heresy III's. They are awesome with tubes. Keep in mind they don't dig deep in the bass region but what bass they do produce is punchy and accurate. I use SS with both my HI's and HII's.Bill
Sub suggestions
"Again, ported or sealed?"Sorry. SB = Sealed Box, PB = Ported BoxSo sealed most likely will yield better results for music, IMO.Bill
Sub suggestions
02-11-15: Simao"So - if I went with the SVS sb 1000 - should I get ported or sealed? My listening room is fairly small."If music is your main focus with this rig, the the SB1000 would be the better option. If HT, the the PB1000.Personally, I would...
New Yamaha a-s3000 and a-s2100 integrated amps ??
I think the series are made in Malaysia.Bill
JL Audio 2nd sub - mix match F112 and F113?
Great advice from Mike and the JLAudio techs however I don't see mixing an F112 and F113 as being problematic at all. Both will be tonally similar, if not exact, and have the same design philosophy. Though amplifier output is higher in the F113, I...
backup cd player
Another one to consider, though an SACD player also, is the Yamaha CD-S1000 or CD-S2000 for that matter. If these players are anywhere near as good as their counterpart integrated amps(A-S1000, A-S2000), then I highly recommend them. Both the play...
backup cd player
01-02-15: Rhljazz"For a backup, I would take the Oppo 105. If nothing else, it offers the options of SACD, DVDA, BluRay plus the movie world."I agree plus top tier on board DAC's for other digital sources.Bill
