Vip Traveler verses Rega p6 - Photo Finish?
There's a lot to like about the VPI traveller from a design perspective - it's drive system provides for very quick startup and the arm also has some very nice design features.Although, I'm not a big fan of aluminum platters, however VPI has used ...

Technical help selecting phono interconnect
Mesch - I have the Cardas one-piece tonearm wire that I find very good for phono but I don't know the CapacitanceFor Interconnects I use the Van den Hul D-102 mkIII as a becnhmark which is rated at 37pF/meterFor speaker wire anything below 30pF su...

Nick - true - the frequncy response is "better" for the 4-conductor cable. But those response curves are for 100 meter cables - the response curve for a 1-2 meter cable would be completely different.
Technical help selecting phono interconnect
If you are using a two and four conductor cable of the same grade from the same manufacturer - frequency response should be the same. However, connecting the four conductor cable in two pairs will double the capacitance - this can effect the overal...

If you are intent on doing this then get an electrician in. There could be MANY code restrictions that need to be followed. In north american homes 230v is generally reserved for stoves and in some cases heating.Connecting a 230v component to anoth...
