Copper®Harmony RCA Plug - a new breed
Sbrownnw - my observations with the Harmony line is that they simply enhance the performance of the cables they are attached to without adding "colour".Adding them to my silver IC's actually improved their warmth and fullness.Food for thought - th...
Copper®Harmony RCA Plug - a new breed
Sbrownnw - Yping is suggesting a better RCA, but that really depends on the tone-arm/harness combination...If you are using the standard Rega Arm without any mods - then go for the Silver Harmony or Pure Harmonyif the internal wiring has been upgr...
Moving up from the VDAC
Take a look at the Schiit Bifrost - they have just upgraded their USB port which elevates this DAC into a "giant killer" Also get the UBER analogue upgrade for truly superb audioI have just upgraded the USB in mine and it amazed me how much differ...
Essence®gZero10 Interconnect cables single ended
Yping, on my system the first DVD source I tried the S/PDIF performed to a lower level than my USB. However the second DVD source I tried I could tell no difference between USB or S/PDIF Which is best? -I think it depends on each individual USB im...

UPDATE NOTICE...Yping, just to confirm my thoughts from the last post - I tried a silver/copper DIY hybrid IC that I have - which uses the Silver Harmony RCA's.Once again I could not tell the difference between my cable, the gZero6 and the gZero10...
Essence®gZero10 Interconnect cables single ended
Yping - just tested the gZero6 and gZero10 on my DVD player's S/PDIF into the dac and I can honestly say I heard no difference whatsoever. This leads me to believe even more that the gZero2 or gZero3 would suffice for digital dutyThey are both extr...
Hard Wireing?
Danmar123 - if the existing lead does not have a ground wire, then do not connect the ground in the new cable - it is designed to work without a ground.Just make sure the polarity is correct.Re: insurance - asking an underwriter may get the answer...

Yping, what I can say for sure - since I have tried it...The gZero6 works extremely well as a digital interconnect. The Copper Harmony, when installed on my digital IC, worked better than the impedance matched RCA's that came with it - probably due...

Yping, many of todays analogue IC's are capable of delivering digital content - since the quality of the copper used is extremely high, but the impedance of RCA's they employ tends to be the issue. My VDH "The NAME" is just one of several IC's that...
Digital wows on a budget
Koestner - just a quick update...Yesterday, I dusted off a DVD player that has a S/PDIF output and attached an extremely high resolution S/PDIF cable from it to my DAC.I performed several A/B auditions with various tracks and found the USB impleme...
Copper®Harmony RCA Plug - a new breed
Sbrownnw - if you think the Copper Haermony are good as an analogue link try them on a digital cable. They will surprise you :-)

Yping, if you opt for the 10's and want another use for the gZero6's - try them as a digital link!I got to thinking about what KL had said about using the Copper Harmony for this purpose. The issue with using normal RCA for spdif is their impedance...

Yping - the 10's are definitely better than the 6's in my system and probably more so if they are used with higher resolution components. My problem is - I a bit too pragmatic and frugal for this hobby. - I DIY most stuff because it saves me $$$. -...
