Seeking help on my High-End knowledge/history...
Thanks.  I do not know of Krissy Tetrault, what company, or whom, is she with or what is  her background/history?
What do you no longer have that you would enjoy a night to listen to again?
oldhvymec, nothing wrong with liking the Karmann Ghia.  Not to be a snob, but from Ferrari to Lotus to Porsche to race cars I have lived a good "car life"...but with that said, my original VW Rabbit was quite a break-through car and it must have...
Unusual, but great audio/stereo furniture (and built-ins)?
n80, very nice.  Is the bird on the top left a Sandpiper?  If so, that was the name of a decent Steve McQueen film. Take care
Your thoughts and experience with getting the best FM reception/signal?
fuzz, I can see why you would say that.

The 240Z had major impact on the world of sports cars and what to expect for your money.  My interest in cars has been with me for many years and is nearly equal to my interest in audio and Bordeaux, but none can challenge my interest in my childr...

Thanks to all for you input and thoughts.
Biggest "pleasant surprise" components you have owned?
Not that it matters, but I have had some of the same experiences with cars.  I expected some of the expensive exotics to be fast and fun, but there were a few value cars that were darn good.
Guilty pleasures? A new version of an old question...Dark Side...
Not to be maudlin, but part of remembering many of the greats of the 60s and British Invasion is that generation (my generation) is starting to die off.I am getting old and my 3 best friends have all died....two of cancer. It is a normal part of l...
An artist I have enjoyed for many years, Julia Fordham
A minor warning, every person I have introduced to Julia Fordham that has bought a CD of hers....has ended up buying more or all of them.  That would include 3 male and 1 female friend. In the businesses that I have owned and the great businesses I...
Sleeper Vintage Receivers, AMps, Tuners, TTs,etc..
Thankfully there have been many good receivers.  The best I have owned is the Magnum Dynalab 208
The value of a good FM tuner?......, now and in the future...
unsound ,  thanks for your input.  I hope there is a future and a good future for radio/FM music.  Perhaps I am just an old audiophile, but radio has been such a part of my music history and love.  In my business heyday I knew several Jazz artists...
What are the best tuners each company has made, and how you started?
Good Question.  My interest has dimmed a bit after a move to an area that has only one station that I have any interest in.  Redneck music in stereo FM is of no interest to me.  Perhaps I am just a snob, but great, earlier Jazz and well done class...

Agree with Porcelain, but I have everything she has done, and like them all.  Different from most pop/Jazz singers.
Dahlquist speaker models, question/experience and today
...eddie, thanks for the info/suggestions.  I have owned a very large number of speakers over the years...and stacked Advents, Dahlquist DQ-10 and Magnepan 20 are the ones I remember most.  I would mention Karly, Jaleen and Susanne...but the speak...
Concert halls from around the world. What have been your favorites.
The original Hancher in Iowa City was quite good until a flood ended it's life.  The new one is good, but I do not have enough experience yet to compare them.  Being a Jazz fan, most of the live performances I have seen were in commercial places.....
