Anybody tried Naim integrated with ATC speakers? Hey some nice comments on the M3. Seems every time I see anything written it is not positive on here lately. Usually somebody has some issue. I am glad to see a few nice comments. I is an integrated I thought about. Seems quite a few for sale lately.
why so many benchmark dac1's on audiogon? Shadorne, Well maybe, but my guess, though few admit, is they have so overwhelmed them selves with changes that I don't even think they really believe what they say. But now I am speaking on a granular micro dynamic basis !
why so many benchmark dac1's on audiogon? Naw, just the usual audiophile buzz. Great Stereophile Class A rating, everybody buys them, them the online buzz starts that they are harsh or bright or something similar, and boom they are off and being dumped. Look at the NAD M3 integrated. SP C...
Squeze Box Question Ckorody and Mapman, great text book info, just what I needed, this really clarifies. Thanks again,Wayne
Squeze Box Question So Mapman, you are saying that files retrieved from the hard drive via wireless or network cable using the SQueezebox and it's internal DAC to my preamp, MAY/COULD/WOULD sound better then a Computer via USB to something like a Benchmark or Wavelen...
Squeze Box Question MapMan(or anybody who wants to pitch in), I don't know what you mean by what computers may sound good ? If I am using a PC, to a good USB DAC like Benchmark or similar, the hard drive based music files, thru a program like ITunes or similar should ...
Bryston 4B or B&K Reference 4420 I had a B&K awhile back, and really liked the amp and Pre. But I had kind of given up on them as they have really gone Home Theater, and abandoned theire nicer preamps. They are still making a few 2 channel, but unfortuinetly not their main fo...
Squeze Box Question I have avoided this subject like the plague, but this one has finally pushed me to ask the question. But if I have a Mac/PC with Itunes or similar, a DAC like a Wavelength Brick, WHY do I need a Squeezebox or similar ???
Looking to upgrade & downsize. Krell s-300i? Got rid of the Linn ? Did you you rip all the vinyl to digital, or just get out of vinyl ? Just curious as I am in a similar area .
Experience with the NAD M5....... Another thought might be repair of the Modwright in UK ?
Best budget DIN phono cable? Too many to choose I bought the Ultimate Cable , and it is nice quality. I have not used it yet. I also liked his cable design explanation. You can buy from his web site, or he sells on Audiogon. Mine seemed a bit cheaper, but is the straight DIN. Ultimate only make...
refurbished NAD M5 vs new SCD-XA5400ES Yes The M5 has balanced out, as the M3 Integrated has balanced in. I forgot about the HDCD, and HDCD is not totally dead. The latest Gold Cd releases from Audio Fidelity, mastered by Steve Hoffman are HDCD. My guess is they both have strengths, an...
refurbished NAD M5 vs new SCD-XA5400ES They are probably both good choices. The NAD Master Series stuff is great, very well reviewed. I own the M5 and love it. I bought new, you only loose one year of warranty on refurbished. I am hearing good stuff on the new Sony also, I have no way ...
Adcom GTP or GFP No I have not compared the two, but would agree at least on paper, and the preverbial "it costs more so it must sound better", that the GFP 750 is a much more of a quality peice.
Adcom GTP or GFP I had one of the GTP 500II I believe was the model. It was a nice preamp, fully featured, including phono I believe. The tuner was pretty decent, and did a better job of picking up stations compared to other receivers that I had previously used. T... |
