| Holographic imaging Just looked at the original question again.....Solid state amps can and do give a holographic soundstage.....the amp just needs to be highly transparent. But the same goes for tube amps too. | |

| Jeff Rowland 501s burn in ... a strange experience My experience is componets on initial startup will sound very good but bright and brassy. Then turn dark...closed and fat. Especially if the NBS cables are new...but the amps will continue to morph also. 100 hours should do it and be a lot better. | |

| Power cords and soundstage PC's that I have used make a difference....usually in the depth and width of the soundstage. Also improving the spatial quality of the sound. Most new cables need 100 hours to settle in....my experience. | |
| When is digital going to get the soul of music? Very late to this thread....but my experience is with my tube DAC.....soul or something is present. No brightness edge.....just rich highly transparent involving tunes. With my XM radio.....they play vinyl....so who needs records. | |

| How much power is to much power? A Accuphase P200/P300 don't even worry about it....if there qaulity drivers the amps won't be a problem...btw the Accuphase amps have built in protection circuits for driving unsafe loads. |
