Does the Eminent Technology 2.5 arm work well with the Transcriptors Reference turntable?
@lewm  @mijostyn almost sounds like the crowd over at ASR.  He reads the specs, and decides what it's going to sound like.
Transients hurting my ears on hifi solid state amps
I work from home, and I listen between 8 and 12 hours a day, though most of that is not critical listening.  I am also sensitive to "bright" components.  I currently have 3 turntables, a Herron VTPH-2A phono preamp, and a BAT VK-30SE preamp.  On t...

I've owned an ET2.5 for almost 25 years, mounted on a VPI TNT 4.  With all due respect to @mijostyn , he doesn't know what he's talking about with respect to the ET arms.  I would not consider mounting one on a table with a loosely sprung suspensi...
Lyra Cartridges
@jpan  Thanks for that.
Lyra Cartridges
Thanks, I will  check those options out.
Added an SUT...not sure I understood this
The lower the ohm rating on a tap the higher the gain.  As a rule of thumb, you should use the tap that most closely matches the internal resistance of your phono cartridge.
Carver M-4.0T driving Magnepan MG-1 IMP
I'm using a Bryston 4B SST2 to drive 1.7is.  I've owned Bryston amplifiers since the mid 80s except for a short stint with a PS Audio Stellar S300, which was a very good amp too.
Are You Happy With Your Phono Preamp?
The PS Audio is a fine unit, but I wound up buying one of the last Herron VTPH-2A phono preamps.  Not even a touch of regret and I've had no desire to make a change there.  You might be able to find one used, but they don't come up often and they ...
After the thrill is gone
I've had planars  for over 25 years.  First, Apogee Duetta IIs and now Magneplanar 1.7is.  I can't tell you what happens when the thrill is gone because it's never left. 😁
Which pair of speakers changed your Hifi life?
Apogee Duetta II.  I can't go back to boxed speakers.  I still have them but one woofer panel is blown.  Got a pair of Maggies to replace them until I can maybe get them repaired
What do you consider the most when choosing a pair of speakers?
How do they sound is first.  Second is how do they sound. Third (are you noticing a trend here?).
What is the best 2 channel listening chair?
This may be a little off topic, but I'd be more interested in the best 7.1.4 chair. 😉
New equipment
My personal experience is that if I find myself listening to the equipment instead of the music when I get a new component, it isn't the right component.
Best Stereo Upgrade Value
The single biggest improvement in my system was moving to planar magnetic speakers (Apogee Duetta IIs, and when those died, Magnepan 1.7i).
