The Low Volume Loudness Dilemma
Thanks @danager. That's pretty nifty. I just sent them an email to see if they can make one with XLR instead of RCA.
The Low Volume Loudness Dilemma
I purchased a Schitt Lokius as well and was using the balanced inputs/outputs. I tried it in the system on a few separate occasions- switching back/forth with and without it in the signal chain. Unfortunately, it had to go. It flattened out and su...
Acoustic Panels (2” or 4”) Thickness?
Has anyone compared GIK and similar panels (basically building insulation) compared to Acoustic Fields foam panels?
Upcoming Bluesound Icon Node vs other well known and good sounding DAC/streamers
@audioman58 Have you listened to the Bluesound Icon or are you basing "entry level" off of what we know about the rest of their products?  For the linear power supply, I had a good experience as well on one of my previous Dacs. The one I used was...
Upcoming Bluesound Icon Node vs other well known and good sounding DAC/streamers
@sbayne I'm kinda thinking the same thing too, but there's only one way to find out for sure. I'll update this after it happens.
Audiophiles in the Wild - They're on to us...
Thanks @rooze  Good one!   I'm in the middle of doing some work in my office when suddenly my Wife starts cracking up in another room- hysterically and for several minutes non-stop. I couldn't concentrate, so I got up and shut my door. An hour l...
Is there Tannoy Magic / Should I buy a pair of Tannoys as "accessory" speaker?
@lalitk  Using class D monoblocks- no bi-amping.
Leave it Open or Close it Off: A Listening/ Living Room Dilemma
@kokomo I tried the Spectrum app, but I prefer the Decibel X app more.  @bolong hardwood floors with some thick padding and a deep shag rug that covers more than 1/2 the room.  @seanheis1 That's what I was afraid of: paying to make these changes...
Great video about sound

Is there Tannoy Magic / Should I buy a pair of Tannoys as "accessory" speaker?
Turnberrys here for 4 years and no desire to upgrade speakers again. Prior to these, I had Tannoy XT8-F which were also nice. I used these with: a 300B tube amp and with Atma-Sphere monoblock class D with their tube pre-amp. After some tube rollin...
Leave it Open or Close it Off: A Listening/ Living Room Dilemma
Wow, what a coincidence. I just downloaded the Spectrum app earlier in the day yesterday. Up until then I was using Decibel X. Thanks @kokomo
Is there Tannoy Magic / Should I buy a pair of Tannoys as "accessory" speaker?
I’m close to Upscale and purchased Tannoys from them after experiencing the Tannoy magic. If you’re into imaging and soundstage, you will not be disappointed. I listen to all kinds of music and they rock. Of course there are also a pair of REL sub...
Leave it Open or Close it Off: A Listening/ Living Room Dilemma
I'm going to move forward with it and will chime in again after it's done to follow up. The door will be a nice solid wood one- not one of those hollow ones. Thank you all for your input. I appreciate it.
Graphene Sluggo - Unlocking Sonic Scenery
Update: I’ve listened for a while now with just the copper sluggo in my preamp. I moved on to the next component and popped a gold immersion sluggo into my DAC/streamer. I noticed another same level improvement as I did when I popped in the my fir...
Graphene Sluggo - Unlocking Sonic Scenery
I had a SR purple fuse in my preamp, stock fuses in my class D monos and another SR purple in the streamer/DAC for the past 6 months or so.When this thread started, I removed the SR fuses and put stock fuses in everything once again. I listened to...
