Difference between Paradigm Studio 40 v. 2 and v.3 One other thing to keep in mind is that the v.2's are rear ported, where as the v.3's are front ported. I own a pair of the v.3's. They are good for rock but lacking for Jazz with a lot of piano and for Classical. I am eventually going to replace ...
alternative to speaker stand spikes? Timrhu and Walkman,I tried the hex bolts with nuts to lock them tightly in place. Works great. Thanks.
Just got home from a Dylan concert I have to agree with Garebear. I saw Dylan four times in the last year and a half. I last saw him this April with Haggard, who was smooth and delightful. Dylan's band before the recent changes were made could compensate for the loss of range in hi...

bookshelf for Musical Fidelity A3?? I am supposing you had the MA's before the MF. Have you thought about going up the line to the MA GR10? They have real wood veneers. I think they are $1500 new. A good used pair could be had for less than $1200.

Any good Contemporary Christian recordings Third Day has put out some very good music with a solid Christian emphasis. Their latest, "Wired", is good. Their two cd's, Offerings I and II are their best IMO. They rock without taking a back seat to a lot of secular groups.
Your Favorite, Most Outstanding Guitar Solo Too many great solos out there to have one favorite IMO. To add one of my favorites- Ten Years After, Alvin Lee: I'd Love To Change the World.
What music would you like at your funeral? Judy Collins: Amazing Grace
My system suggestions on improving bass - Totem Just one other thing I forgot to mention. This is for Rich. I am 49 and the low end still matters. To each his own.
My system suggestions on improving bass - Totem I was in somewhat of the same situation you are in. I also have a Musical Fidelity a3.2 integrated and a3.2 cd player. I have a pair of Paradigm Studio 40 v.3 speakers. I was using some Monster Cable interconnects and speaker cables. The bass lack...
Paradigm Monitor 5v2 - Studio 40 v3 - worth it? I have the Studio 40 v.3's. When I first got them I was using NAD amplification. They sounded good together. I upgraded from the Nad to a Musical Fidelity a3.2 integrated and they sound considerably better. |
