Would you change your amp selection knowing...?
Al, As I suspected.  I thought I could count on you to illuminate this topic. Let me say that I am humbled that you went out of your way to research the hidden links, and offer your considered thoughts on the subject. I sincerely appreciate it; th...
Who has Luv for the Lyngdorf 2170 and is thinking about the 3400.
Kenny, Thanks again. That’s helpful again. No, I have never used Roon, but, yes I’m pondering it.

Kenny, Thank you. That was helpful. May I ask the dB range of Roon's eq?

^While I agree with your point, there’s no need to even consider replacing one’s amplification. As I’ve said before: there’s no sound reason not to use the provided RC networks (zobels).

^I'm not sure if my speakers impedance load is a consideration, but if it is:https://www.stereophile.com/content/thiel-cs35-loudspeaker-measurements

I wonder if it's a matter of the math not matching the measurements, unrecognized variables, or errors of another sort?  For your consideration: (sorry, but most of the links no longer seem to work.)https://www.audioholics.com/gadget-reviews/spea...

Just a guess here, but I suspect the Lyngdorf will accept most hi-rez formats, but...they might be down-rezed(?) when DSP room correction and/or PWM amplification occurs.  I'll also hazard a guess that it probably won't matter too much, and the be...
Gotta love Nelson Pass
^Yes, even some of the Pass Labs branded amps, like some of the Alephs have some limited applications.
Gotta love Nelson Pass
I would suggest a bit caution when using Nelson Pass's gear. Many of his products have very different appropriate applications.

FWIW, the recommended placement of the RC networks are at the speaker terminals.
Would you change your amp selection knowing...?
^I’m not sure if they still do. When I got mine the RC networks were separate. I’ve since read that some have them directly integrated into the cables. I’m not sure, but I seem to recall that separate RC network replacements were available for $20...
What does moving from a 150 watt amp to a 400 watt amp get you?
Thr increase in power might offer more driver protection from amplifier clipping.

With 5G around the corner, I can’t help but wonder why we’ll need any more “lossy” manipulations?

No and no, and know that I use a wide bandwidth ss amp with high capacitance speaker cables.
