Zaikesman's Username Pronunciation Field Guide Nrchy, actualy due to the new influx of so many French yuppies in England there is a nice culinary revival going on there.
Won't preamps become obsolete? Years ago pre-amps included tone contols. In the future they may include room controls. Multi-channel may expidite this.
McCormack or Quicksilver for Vandersteen 2ci? I've recommended the McCormack, but, I've gotta tell you that the McCormack's can be a bit forward. I don't think I would describe tham as brittle though, as despite the afore mentioned forwardness I think they are still rather liquid on top. Ther...
Music to warm up with??? The first thing that jumps to mind is: RAY CHARLES AND BETTY CARTER; "BABY,IT'S COLD OUTSIDE". Sure puts thing into perspective.
Right tuner for the job Ryanmh1, I could be wrong about this, but, didn't Fanfare and Magnum Dynalabs offer analog tuners with presets as well?

2003 CES Show Report from Father & Son Audio Boy, do I feel stupid!
A sexy new amp...Channel Island I haven't heard them. Sexy? Gee, I kinda like the simple styling too, and I mean no harm, but (and I know this is the kiss of death) I'd describe them as cute.
A cry for help to Snell B owners If these are the vintage Snells I think they are, you might want to think twice before tampering with the crossovers. I believe that was part of Dr. Snells fame, that every pair of speakers were calibrated to the nth degree to a reference pair. I'...
Bryston 4B-SST versus 3B-SST I 've never heard the SST's, but, I do remember prefering the 3BST to the 4BST. Damn'd if I can remember why though?
anyone biamping with B&K ST-140? Perhaps B&K can give you the serial #'s that indicate changes? |
