Is HDCD dead? Ditto. | |
Help me please, I don't have ground? It's more likely you too many grounds, rather than none. Rule of thumb, use the least odd number of grounds. Obviously, one is ideal.

Neutral cables for hi-resolution, imaging system? IMHO, the Alpha-Core Goertz MI series of speaker cables should be on anyone who's seek "neutral cables" list. Alpha-Core offers a generous 30 day free trial period, and can recommend the appropriate ones for your system. Oh, and they're pretty ine...
HDCD compatible? When one inserts an HDCD encoded disk into an appropriate player, an HDCD light glows on the player. I guess that doesn't help much if you aren't already in the know, sorry. There used to be a website that listed most HDCD titles including some th...
What Makes a Good RIAA or Line Stage? Atmasphere recently shared some interesting thoughts on the subject, you might want to check the archives.
Great Speakers - More is More? My apologies to those who've read this from me before. I'd be curious to hear these planars doubled up, but, placed back to back.

Recommendation Amp for MGIIIa I have never owned any of these products, but I thought high powered Audio Research and Magnaplanars were supposed to be touted as a classic combination.
How high do subs go TacT no longer lists speakers and sub-woofers on their web site. I believe I recall hearing someone from Tact saying that their subs were unique in that they were designed (and the drivers in particular) to go to 200Hz. I do believe they were desi...
Do we believe in Machina Dynamics? Audiofeil, LOL! I love these threads, they're the most amusing ones on Audiogon.
experience with Threshold SA/2e or S/500 amps? I use a slightly modified S/500 Series II. I would describe it as very dynamic, open and neutral, but, not necssarily warm. The S/series are class A/AB, the first 20% of their power running in class A into an 8 Ohm rating. The pure class A SA Thre...
