Thiel/Crutchfield
I think the individual pricing per/speaker is an accomodation for the Home Theatre and surround sound crowd.
combining different cables
I believe that using only the same brand and model of cables is a very good starting point. After that, one may find that different cables may work best between different components and as a complete system. I try to get manufactures opinions (not...
Pass Labs XA- ".5" ???
Not exactly an impulse purchase here in the US either.
Aragon 4004 - Load Capacity Question
I believe the Palladiums while capable, work best on power hungry speakers don't stray much from 8 Ohms. Rather odd birds, no?
Conrad Johnson and Proac Speakers
I agree with Tarsando.

What is the one CD you can't find?
I hereby nominate Albetporter Audiogner of the year. Albert selflessly goes out his way to help us when we can't help ourselves. Bravo!
Best rock song of all times
Jdlepera got it right; Chuck Berry's "Johnny B. Goode". This song may have directly or indirectly inspired all the others listed.

Sales: truth in weight?
I think some sellers might pack their items with greater care which increases the cost of shipping. It's been my experience that the actual cost of shipping is always higher than the shipper's web site estimates. Personaly I'd rather pay a reasona...
Kef vs Thiel
I've always like both, but ultimately chose Thiel. The better Kefs share some qualities with Thiel, but IMHO the Kef's are usually warmer, less articulate and dynamic than the Thiels. With that in mind I suggest you consider Vandersteen as well.
Question concerning db sensitivity
John, please reread the qoute " SOMEONE recently told me that in THEIR experience, in GENRAL, that the higher the dB sensitivity of a given speaker, the more you sacrafice in terms of sound. In other words, lower dB rated speakers [86-88] TYPICALL...
