| How would you compare these two Vandersteens? IMHO, the Quatros and the 5's maintain the Vandy signature sound, but are far superior in neutrality than the lower models. The bass eq's value shouldn't be underestimated. All of them are excellent values. | |
| Acoustat 2+2 : CJ 2500A or Simaudio W 5 ? I haven't heard the combination myself, but Threshold was reputed to work well with Acoustats. | |
| Equalizer or acoustic room treatment or? If you've got speakers that cost $20 grand, I think you could afford an appropriate eq. The other approaches might work, but are probably more hit and miss, and in some cases it would be hard get your money back if not satisfied. | |

| Krell FPB-400cx vs. Pass 350.5 for Thiel 3.6 I don't think you could go wrong with either one. Those two, in that order, would probably be my top two choices. |
