What + experience have you had with an indoor FM antenna? It really all depends on location. FWIW, I have found the Magnum Dynalab SR100 to work very well in various locations: FM Antennas - dipole vertical fm antenna and silver ribbon antenna (magnumdynalab.com)IME, even better than their more expe...
Thiel Owners @thoft, O.K., an older DR 25 with an updated newer faceplate. I thought you bought 2 and were running them as monos. With the 3.6’s 2.3 Ohm minimum impedance you’re better off with one stereo amp that is not bridged. You should have plenty of avai...
Thiel Owners @thoft Are you running one stereo unit or two mono units? What do you mean by “unlabeled’?
Thiel Owners Adcom 5800 to1 bridged Classe’ DR 25 & 1 bridged Classe’ 25
Thiel Owners @theaudiotweak , I don't know if anything is added to the fluid, or if the fluid is used in conjunction with other techniques to deal with the myriad of concerns cable designers face. I wonder if the fluid has thermodynamic properties?
Thiel Owners Purist has been making albeit expensive liquid insulated cables that certainly have their admirers for some time now.
Thiel Owners @tomthiel Alpha-Core on some of their products lays down ribbons of copper and/or silver flat, then puts flat thin ribbons of polyester terephthalate between other flat layers ribbons of copper and/or silver on top of those layers, then twists the...
Thiel Owners I might have gotten distracted at some points during video. Does he address foils or ribbons? It would seem that such a shape would address many of the concerns mentioned. Is Belsen capable of such a shape on an economical level? Was such a shape ...
Interesting HDMI Problem: OPPO UDP-205 I’m not much of a videophile either, and am not too familiar with OLEDs. In the past some highly regarded video calibrators either had special pre calibration settings or suggested all settings be placed in their neutral positions (I believe they ...
100 watts enough? Kijankii's measurements: ...."...102 dB@100W" seems closer to adequate than far more than adequate, at least to me. And at the risk of redundancy; it is a rather large room. I'll hazard a guess that the neighbor leaves home on occasion.
100 watts enough? At the risk of appearing petty, perhaps it's because some might feel that the amps power output it merely adequate.
Thiel Owners @thieliste, congratulations! You've had a rather interesting journey leading up to what should be a very nice system indeed. Well done.
Thiel Owners @thoft, the DR version is the predecessor to the slightly different, more recent "regular" non-DR designated follow up.
100 watts enough? @charles1dad, I haven't recommended higher powered amplification here. I agree with most of yours and Kijanki's posts, though I don't think 92 dB is all that loud, and I think the OPs rather large room is a consideration. IMHO, while 100 dB is mos...
100 watts enough? 71dB seems low to me. I would have thought something like 80 dB would be more typical. |
