B&K m 200 Sonata Monos With Audible Illusions If my memory serves me correctly (not something I can count on too much for lately), you might be pushing it when it comes to the a fairly high output impedance of the AI with a fairly low input impedance of the B&K's.
Good speakers to be placed close to rear wall Oops, clicked too soon; Thiel MCS, SCS, etc..

Best Used Amps. for Infinity RS-1B Speakers Perhaps you've already seen this, but as it appears to offer some sound suggestions for a somewhat unique product, I'll offer it anyway:http://www.stereophile.com/floorloudspeakers/485infinity
To Vandersteen or not to Vandersteen ^Your criticism is not without merit, and there are others to boot. Perhaps that's why I chose Thiels. But, still it wasn't an easy decision and dollar for dollar I still stand by my earlier declaration. Once again, YMMV.:-)
McCormack , Aragon or Forte Not all Forte amps used IGBT's, and the ones that did weren't from the pen of Nelson Pass. Though he was there at the time (and on his way out), Mr. Pass was not a fan of IGBT's.
To Vandersteen or not to Vandersteen ^:-) Interesting, as I think the 2's are by far the best value in the line, and perhaps in all of high end audio! The 1's just don't do it for me compared to the competition, and the 3's just don't justify the their cost increase over their smaller...

To Vandersteen or not to Vandersteen These are so readily available for audition, that unless your circumstances are very unique, you would be remiss not to audition them. With that said, I'm a big fan, and though some here disagree with me, I'm absolutely convinced that all but the ...

To Tube or not to Tube...... "...has earned a reputation for being reliable..." I've no personal experience using Jolida, but the reputation that has passed before me has been quite a bit different.
The future of preamps I wonder if the future of preamps might have more to do with room control.
"Like" button for posts Didn't realize there were that many teenage girls reading the Audiogon forum to appreciate something like this.:-)
To Tube or not to Tube...... Well, tubes might just be the ticket for you. Soundstage is usually a strength attributed to tube amps, as for separation I'm not sure what context you are referring to. But, I'll concede what tube amps might be more inclined to fulfill your desir...
To Tube or not to Tube...... How did it compare to live music? Just trying to steer you towards an amp that might satisfy you, even within tube amps, there are different sonic personalities. |
