Are medium power push pull tube amplifiers more articulate than high powered units?
Please accept my apologies in advance if I'm mistaken. I believe Atmasphere has suggested in the past here on Audigon; that in larger tube designs that the transformers required could potentially lead to high frequency roll off. I could imagine th...
Dunlavy Minimum Phase Mods
^While I agree, there is added interest in that the mod was done by an ex DAL employee. In one of my last conversations with John Dunlavy he said he was excited by the potential of going forward with digital active cross-overs and individual Class...
Mega D'Appolito Speakers - The Holy Grail?
The  OP's example speakers are all fairly unique not only to each other but to most speakers in general, and some cases carry (ied) some rather lofty prices compared to most typically bought speakers. I'm not at all surprised that commonality is s...
Dunlavy Minimum Phase Mods
The original Dunlavy's didn't appear require that much complexity. As for me, I find that at I consistently prefer speakers that are time coherent to those that aren't. YMMV!
Upgrade Thiel CS3.6 to CS6??
FWIW, I always felt that for almost twice the price the CS 6's only provided a bit more dynamic range and ease in doing it,over the CS3.6's. IMHO, one of Thiel's poorer values.

Mega D'Appolito Speakers - The Holy Grail?
I have very different opinions of some of the above mentioned speakers. Which suggests to me that perhaps some other things might be more important.
Thiel CS2
Amongst the most reliable and easy to drive of all Thiels. They do best with the typical Thiel recommended spacing. Though techincally amongst the easiest of all Thiels to drive, in practice it's a bit more challanging. Anything bright before them...

Thiel Customer Service - New ownership is terrible!!! - WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS COMPANY ?
^I saw that too. If all fails contacting Thiel, I'd still suggest reaching out to Bill. He has an excellent reputation, (and I personally know of a very satisfied Thiel user) working with all kinds of typical and exotic drivers. At the least; he m...

If you can't get through to Thiel, I strongly recommend giving Bill a call:
Anyone Had Extended Listening Experience With MBL?
I I've only heard the big MBL's at shows. During those less than extended listening experiences, I found them to be perhaps the best speakers I've ever heard. The individual imagining of recorded performers might not have been as dense as on other...
