@maxson I did have that thought in the back of my mind, after all if dynavector can't build a cart to match their phono stage its a poor show.However lots have had good success with other mm and mc carts with the p75.

Paper specs are not always the be all and end all of system synergy as your experience shows.Part of the reason I am trying to glean as much info as possible before diving headfirst down the rabbit hole again

I like the idea behind the nighthawk, running off a battery to ensure zero ac line noise.However$795 is over my budget and Not found any used ones right now.But thank you as certainly looks like a nice piece.
