Nothing can match vinyl, period. Unfortunately, quite a bit of music was never released on vinyl. That is the only reason I have a CD player.

Dan, Why don't you use the low gain setting? just curious. I have an X1 and keep it on low gain at all times.

I used to have season tickets to the Philharmonic. I sat in Row 11 dead center. That is very close to the sound you get with the mc275. Very close.
