Update on good Ethernet switch
@tonywinga @carlsbad2  Thanks for the information. I apparently wasn’t clear in my question.  ALL of my audio system connections are hard-wired.  The network dedicated backbone, i.e., router to router only, is a 5 GHz high bandwidth wireless conne...
Update on good Ethernet switch
Two questions: I’m using a mesh network system and the audio system streamer is connected to a satellite router by Ethernet and the satellite router gets its connection from the main router via a 5 GHz “trunk” wireless stream. 1 - is the switch ...
Chord M-Scaler burn-in advice/input welcomed
I’m out of the initial audiophile euphoria on new equipment and back to needs additional burn-in listening mode.   It’s not bad, just needs more burn-in on both the M-Scaler and the Denali.  @verdantaudio is right.  No judgement prior to a minimum...
Can a better power cable make a difference if NOT plugged directly into an outlet?
@vthokie83   When you installed your dedicated lines did you use s special audiophile wire?    I installed two dedicated home run 10 gauge lines 15 years ago and the electrician used 10 ga. THHN (jacketed spiral wound aluminum clad copper).  The ...

@verdantaudio @carlsbad2  I received a previously ordered Shunyata Denali 6000/s v2 power conditioner. I started hearing magic At 2 to 3 hours listen time with the new conditioner installed.  Holographic soundstage and excellent tonality from mul...
Chord M-Scaler burn-in advice/input welcomed
So it’s just like my Qutest? The Qutest needed 500 hours to burn in but was very listenable after 100 hrs. The Qutest with the Aurender N150 before the M-Scaler (HMS) was installed had a very nice layered soundstage depth and excellent between the...
Audio Mirror Tubadour III vs IV
@kray Thank you!  You’ve been a great help with many of my DAC questions in my search for a new DAC. Also, I emailed Vlad with a couple questions and he responded very quickly. I think it’s time for me to release the wallet Kraken.
Audio Mirror Tubadour III vs IV
@jrizk13 What about jazz? 90% of my listening is jazz, including current jazz and 320k streams from JazzRadio.  All instrumental. The other 10% is classic rock. Really classic compared to what you’ve mentioned.  Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, m...
Sonnet Audio Morpheus
@kray thanks for the cable offer but I’m now leaning toward the Audio mirror Troubadour SE IV for several reasons, excellent USB input and lower output to my integrated amp are among those.
Another new DAC: Audio Mirror
@kray @audio123 This thread has been a great source of information as I am purchasing a new DAC and leaning toward the AM Troubadour SE IV or the Sonnet Morpheus. It was good to read that the USB input in the AM is excellent!  I’d need to buy a DD...
Streamer upgrade? follow up.
@ianrmack @lalitk @bikeboy52  I also have a modified Node 2i with SBooster linear power supply and output via a Nordost Silver Shadow coax digital cable to a Chord Qutest DAC.  I also thought the modified Node 2i sound was excellent and couldn’t b...
Anybody here upgrade from Chord Qutest DAC"
@hayas Thanks but I Canceled the M-scaler purchase. I’m still considering a R2R DAC such as the Sonnet Morpheus or Pasithea or the Audio Mirror Troubadour IV.
Anybody here upgrade from Chord Qutest DAC"
@jjss49 @jazzman7  I pulled the trigger on a M-scaler. I’ve got a long time to evaluate it.  I read all reviews of it with the Qutest.  I hope it works for me. I need more meat in the lower mids because I mostly listen to jazz.

@ryder  “ for me it’s 300+ hours before I start to hear the magic!”. So true! I didn’t want to say this because most people don’t believe it. Power components are the worst for long burn-in times, cables, strips, conditioners, etc. If you’re fortu...
Alan Maher Designs
@tjbhuler  it helped!  I bought both the Maxwell QPI and the Ambiance Ethernet cable.  After they burn-in, especially the Ethernet cable, I may update this thread.  Thanks for the info!
