Put that in your pipe(s) and smoke it
22 posts and you insult already , nevermind the reason, 2 peoples, nevermind their posts content... Dear @oldhvymec, above is the first line of his post aimed at me. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.
1st Post Intro & Ramblings
@p05129 I agree whole heartedly with you on set up. I use the Jim Smith method too. I think MC is a troll who blabs just to blab.
My thoughts on TT isolation methods.
@blueranger Sorry I'm late to the party. I too use the 4 inch Maple blocks and am very happy with them. Mapleshade makes the best ones IMO.
Why so obsessed with bass?
@ mijostyn     Great point well put. That's the difference between an intelligent and articulate post and the dribble that @millercarbon posts. His posts are like "you're a stupid idiot unless you listen to me".
Amplifier warm up
@millercarbon There's no such thing as warm-up, and certainly nothing needs to be left on all the time. This is from his lengthy post on the other thread on this subject, just this week  Which is it Chucky?Of course it takes time to reach therma...
Budget Tube Preamp ($2000)
@three_easy_payments  +1
Adding a sub woofer?
So that's what REL means. Cool!I have two T7i's and couldn't be happier. I'd have more, but I just don't have space in my 11X12 room.
Put that in your pipe(s) and smoke it
@mahgister - this is my 5th handle. I have been here for years. I read and learn, I don't post or take pride in the number of times I post. If I have something to say, whatever, I will say it. Don't like it? Don't read it. It's a free country last...
Put that in your pipe(s) and smoke it
@phusis Does that include @millercarbon and @kenjit? I notice their usual nonsense is missing in this thread.
As much as I try, I just don't get it........
@millercarbon has ears made of tin
Stupid Mistake
There's no such thing as warm-up, @millercarbon is slinging his baloney around again. Of course there is warm up. Tubes take time to warm up, at least 15-20 minutes and and hour is most ideal. SS takes longer. That's why leaving on SS equipment ...
which speaker to buy
If your son listens at louder than 95 dB SPL he will have no hearing to listen with by the time he's 60. Maybe he will be satisfied with that for the years of ear shattering music but in the end he will regret it. Take my word for it as a former v...
Monoblock setup inquiry
@glaspmart That’s the best route. I did the straight mono-blocks (different brand of amp) and never looked back. My amps have a switch though, no special cabling. The RELs are a easy choice. They use the Neutrik Speakon connector, so you just ru...
Do you use a Subwoofer when listening to stereo?
I would dearly love to get a Swarm as @atmosphere suggests. I’ll have to move to a larger room. I barely have room for my stereo pair and to walk but they did wonders for the low end once I had them adjusted to perfection.I thought I could do with...
Desire to try tubes
@rcronk I hear you on trying Atma-shere. I’ve been keeping an eye on his stuff for a while. Someday I’ll be able to try it. Got to get some speakers that match up with lower power amps first.I did the Rogue trip with their Stereo 100. It didn’t ma...
