PMC MB2 vs Revel Salon 2 vs Dynaudio Sapphires
As a dealer I have some bias towards the Dynaudios, however, the PMC MB2 is a fantastic speaker as well. It would come down to your personal tastes. The Sapphires have the better top end imho, however the PMC is a true fullrange speaker capable of...
B&W HTM1D and Parasound A51?
Nick made a good suggestion stepping down in center speakers. That is certainly an option as well.
Speakers: $3,000-$4,000 on Audiogon
I try not to be a fanboy all the time, but of course there will always be some bias as I sell what I like. However, I do enjoy this as a hobby as well and own and like lots of different speakers and components. I do try and let it be known that I'...
Rotel RB-1091 Mono's vs Parasound JC1 Mono's B&W
With all bias aside being a Parasound dealer....Well, it's impossible to completely take it out of me. :-) But, IMHO, there is no better amp on the planet than the JC1 in it's price range. The JC1's are extremely popular and we use them with books...
Speakers: $3,000-$4,000 on Audiogon
Dpac,The S5.4's are a huge step up over the S3.4 in terms of extension and detail. Plus, you get the Confidence tweeter in the S5.4. Personally, I feel the S5.4 and maybe the Aerial Model 9 are the best speakers under $10K for full-range floorstan...
Parasound C1 vs C2 vs Waiting for HDMI 1.3 Pre/Pro
The C1 and C2 has an external ZHD switcher unit that has HDMI 1.3 pass through. It connects via the RS232 port. See the website for details. No plans to rush and add HDMI to the pre-pro internally. Let all the others sort out the kinks first.
B&W HTM1D and Parasound A51?
I've already responded to your other threads on on the C1 and C2. :-)Since your primary interest is going to be 2 channel. I would probably direct you to using the JC1's for the 802D L/R and let the A51 run the center channel and the surrounds. Yo...
B&W HTM1D and Parasound A51?
Parasound dealer here. Let me understand your system first. Ideally, you would like the front three speakers to have the same power across the frontal stage. What are you using for L/R speakers and powering them?In most cases the A51 will drive mo...
Speakers: $3,000-$4,000 on Audiogon
Personally and professionally speaking. I love the Dynaudio Contour S3.4. Another great contender is the new PSB Synchrony One or Two towers. Both mate extremely well with Mac's in most cases.
Parasound 7100 Pre Pro and 5125 Amp
As a dealer for Parasound, NAD, and PSB Synchrony I will chime in. First, the Parasound is capable of HDMI switching via the optional Zhd Switcher. Go the website and see if it's right for you. With the Parasound sale going on, it would be almost ...
Searching for a new Pre/Pro Again
If you like the sound of your NAD, why not go up the NAD food chain to the Masters series? I absolutely love the sound and the detail from the Master Pre and Amplifier. I'm using the Masters here in my showroom mated with the PSB Speaker lineup (s...
SP Tech Timepiece 3.0-Dynaudio C1 comparison?
No real-world experience with the SP Tech's, but they look interesting enough to peak interest. Certainly familiar with the midbass driver it incorporates. As a Dynaudio dealer as well as owner of the C1's in my own personal system, the C1 is near ...
Thiel CS7.2 vs Aerial 20T
The Aerial 20T is just amazing. As someone with somewhat of biased opinion (dealer). I find myself wavering back-and-forth between the Dynaudio C4 and the Aerial 20T. I love both for different reasons, but don't ask me to choose. I could live with...
Good Power Amp for Dynaudio Focus
Chad, I'll chime in and help you out here as I'm a Dynaudio/Marantz/Parasound dealer.First, nice choice in speakers. The Focus series can be outstanding when driven by appropriate amplification. The Marantz 8002 is a very nice receiver. But, you a...
Paradigm Signature S4: Any info please
I've owned the S2 and S4's and I much preferred the S2. The S4 muddied what the S2 did so right. I have neither now as I stepped up to the Dynaudio C1 monitors. But, the S2 is still a favorite of mine in the $2K price category, though.
