Fyne Audio - New Speakers Displayed in Munich
Small write-up from What Hi-Fi?
How important is spending time with your gear?
Agree with Russ. I enjoy seeing the tubes glow since they provide a little ambiance to the room. If everything was solid state and didn't have VU meters, I'd be okay tucking things (like my boxy NAD pre/streamer) away while attempting to hide the ...
How to get started with Streaming
Maybe this would help from a previous thread (need the app). Try here.
Any good audio stores in Scottsdale?
USA Tube Audio always seems closed whenever I’m in the area. Arizona Hi-Fi is wonderful. Big Ear Stereo in Tempe is unpretentious and knowledgeable.
Best player for Spotify
The spam for music converters is off the chain in this thread.
Interesting comment on Bose Speakers.....
@b_limo had a 1988 Acura legend with stick in the early 2000s. What a car. It felt like a souped up Accord. About a 1,000 times better than my current ride - a base model Nissan Juke that's highly praised for its "unique" styling in the auto indus...
Interesting comment on Bose Speakers.....
Does anyone feel like Sonos is the new Bose - convenience, marketing, lifestyle? Three of my neighbors and my best bud all have Sonos. With this said, my wife purchased some Bose Cinemates when we purchased our first house. Honestly, not too shabb...
Please Recommend Highly Efficient Floor Standing Non-Horn Speaker Suggestions
Haven’t heard, but I’m intrigued by Coherent Audio in Canada.
Thinking of taking the plunge.
+1 to BluOS and the Node - as everyone has already mentioned. For myself, this is the streamer that re-engaged me back into listening to music. The Node not only sounds great at its price point, but it has quite a bit of features: Subwoofer outpu...
Bluesound Node or Audiolab 6000N
No experience with Audiolab. The Nodes BluOS software has been rock solid IME with a UI that’s better than most. As others have mentioned, if you have Tidal you can use Tidal Connect which allows you to stay within the Tidal app to stream vs using...
Library disappointment?
I’ve had the same experience attempting to transfer my ambient/electronic genre-heavy playlists from Spotify to Qobuz. Between 60-70% would transfer using Soundiiz. Tidal has a greater hit rate between 85%-95% depending on the artists and how deep...
Preserving Deezer Hi-Fi Quality with Node
Unsure where the lag stems from - whether from BluOS, Deezer app, or AirPlay. What I can say, is that this issue was experienced within my similar configuration approximately 1.5 years ago regardless of the multiple BluOS updates and hardware (Nod...
Preserving Deezer Hi-Fi Quality with Node
I also experienced the lag with the Deezer app via Airplay to both Node and later NAD C658 which both use BluOS. Going through BluOS, it was much more responsive with no lag. The problem is that I liked the Deezer app so much more than the BluOS a...
Totally overwhelmed (speakers under $5k)
To help mitigate the feelings of being overwhelmed, I think the first priority would be to find out which kind of speaker you enjoy the most - horn, concentric, ribbon, dipole, single full range driver. I wish someone would have communicated this ...
Tube Integrated vs Tube Seperates
@brylandgoodman you had commented that "Line Magnetic I find fascinating but I worry they aren’t a great amp to run for as many hours as I’d be using them. I could be wrong though." I've had some interest in Line Magnetic for a while, but never h...
