Cardas: Cross vs. Reference and Clear There seemed to be a little more weight to the overall presentation in my system with the Cross in play.
Preferred AES/EBU 110 ohm digital 1.5 meter cables you recommend I settled on the Acoustic Zen MC Squared for that task but please bare in mind I was in a price range of up to $300.00, you seem to have a higher budget but would still love to hear how the A/Z fairs if you compare it to more expensive offerings.
Have you ever met another audiogon member in person? I have met 3, living in the Houston area I run my adds welcoming in home demo and or p/u. The 1st was a member that came from Dallas to pick up a pair of B&W 802 speakers he just wanted to p/u and run but since they were hooked up he wound up ...

Analog Front End Next Upgrade @nordicnorm, your argument that solid state phonos offer more bang for the buck than tube doesn’t wash especially with your comparison of a new Allnic 1201 at $3,500.00 (can be bought new from a dealer on Agon for less than $2,600.00 and have sold...
Cardas: Cross vs. Reference and Clear I have no history with the new line of Cardas cables but did try all the previous offerings out of those I definitely preferred the Cross cables over the Golden Reference, Neautral Reference and the Golden Cross and use them still in my system.
When System Improvements Are Marginal I am in the same camp as mitch2 and bdp24 and I hold on to several pieces of gear just to revisit as I am making my final decisions. Sometimes The decisions aren't as easy as the moves would be considered lateral moves, different not better. It ha...
Wilson Audio Sasha Mk I @ricred1 , I can guarantee you have a good friend as a dealer, with all your changes I love you too, you have obviously sold some very good equipment on the used market which is where I normally buy.
Wilson Audio Sasha Mk I @ricred1 , As you might guess I own a set of the Sophia 1s, have had them for 8 years and really love them but do understand that they aren't everybody's cup of tea, with that said I have heard the Sasha 1s in a couple of set up and really liked w...
Wilson Audio Sasha Mk I @ricred1, did you mean to say, wouldn't go back again and again and again.
Programming track playback order on a CD player- anyone use it? Yeah I use mine, more as a means of omission than changing track lineup but even then that is rare.
AV Furniture - Depth I use a Salamander cabinet with the extended metal ventilated back added to it and it gives me about 23" of depth and the shelving is adjustable to any position, up or down, to keep up with any changes in your gear over time. Now I spent about $1,...
Manley Chinook question +1 tablejockey, have had the Allnic 1201 and a stock Chinook at the same time and the Allnic was clearly better, with that said the Chinook was a very good phono stage especially at the prices I have seen them used.
14 Year Old Female Drummer @mofimadness, I had to laff because I have always said that the only instrument I can play is a radio and can't sing a note. My 5 year old grandson and I were singing along with James Brown and I was telling him what a nice voice and great moves h...
