Flat screen between speakers, again.
@lowrider57 What colour blanket? (Just kidding.)I have a comforter I can try, but I also have several 1' x 4' cheap foam absorption panels that are quite light. Perhaps I can attach them to a thin 4' x 5' panel and hang that on the TV with padded ...
Flat screen between speakers, again.
Thanks for everyone's responses. What I should add is that this is only one aspect of my diving into "room treatment". Whatever the final solution ends up being, I do think I would prefer exploring an actual room treatment option, as opposed to th...
Flat screen between speakers, again.
@noromance Well that would certainly save me money and effort, but I do believe that the additional room treatment would improve my situation, rather than maintaining the status quo. Thanks.
If you could, what live performances would you enjoy re-living?
I am 65 years old and live in Vancouver, Canada. There are a lot of concerts I would love to revisit, but these few would be magical.Elton John’s first tour in April 1971 playing the Agrodome. A stripped down stage show before all the flamboyance.P...

Question For Those That Watch Movies/TV Through Your Two Channel System
I had a similar issue. I started out with a full 5.1 home theatre setup AND also a two channel setup, which I would switch between. I recently combined both setups by purchasing an integrated amp with a "home theatre bypass". This allowed me to us...
Total bass suck out at 40hz
@millercarbon No matter what you think, arrogance is not an positive attribute. If the rest of us are beneath you, please feel free to explore other options.
I bought another Class D amp and didn't get what I paid for!
While perusing Craigslist one day I noticed someone selling a pair of "room dividers" for $25.00CDN.The room dividers were a pair of older Magneplaner's.I will admit that it did cross my mind to buy them, but instead I called her and explained wha...
Solitary listener
@isochronism "There's no spreading germs among friends."??Covid19 loves that kind of thinking. Better to bring over people you don't like.Less downside.
Moving to France
@asvjerry As a Canadian, my suggestion would be to act like a Canadian and then you don't need the shirt.
Moving to France
@mickeyb I live in Vancouver and Seattle is a lovely city. Beautiful scenery and great restaurants. As for France, over the years I have visited all four corners from San Sabastien to Avignon to Bordeaux and Paris. All of them were magical.Truth is...
Moving to France
@millercarbon Poop, no-go zones and needles? Please let me know where in France you went to see it in that light. On second thought, have you even been to France?
has anybody else noticed this about singers?
@richopp I agree 100%. Linda Ronstadt's voice seems to be linked to my soul. Listening to "Heart Like a Wheel" or "Prisoner in Disguise" is cathartic and can bring me to tears.A modern day Patsy Cline.

@tomic601Exactly.
has anybody else noticed this about singers?
This is an example of the "Neil Young Syndrome".Soul and passion are major components of how much we "believe" a singer.Case in point. Nina Simone does not have a great voice and Celine Dion does.
