@uberwaltz I scored a minty ( visual Grading ) copy of Jazz  today, will play track two soon although in condo unlikely to hit super high SPL, I have an RTA so will lol at bass energy also.....double blind with a margarita lab inc.

hi Pete, I might be the only guy on the planet with Vandersteen, Nelson Pass ( 400a ) and Bryston power amps, and I certainly get musical joy out of each...in musing about this thread, i think scale is almost completely irrelevant when a designer ...

stop by the studio someday and hear the depth of.  image possible out of soffit mounted  set of constant directivity monitors....maybe not mastering quality but fine....for sure...also see this month’s Stereophile for a review of “ image champs” a...

actually, no....a careful read of my statement about tailoring the polar  response IS not about voicing, its about managing the. amplitude of those early refllections. IF they are down significant db it js the same as being out in the room 3-5’......

but in my travels round the globe, the one thing that Crushes, absolutely crushes scale is innovation.....small stuff like no emitter resistor, five parts in the signal path....a radiator and liquid cooling for rock solid bias...built in HRS isola...

Diane Schuur - The Count Basie Orchestra - GR 1039from 1987 digital master that at least with modern DAC and current filters sounds suprisingly good..Nice $1 bin scrounging find that appears unplayed...fun
