@lewm yes i have heard Eclipse in 3 systems now…. it would turn a Sapphire in good working order into a formidable table. Agree on Denon or any vintage table pricing…my local shop here in San Diego has a DP-1250,  Grace 707 arm and almost new Ort...

most SOTA from the 80’s will require a motor, sapphire thrust plate and likely all new springs ( ask me how i know )… but when refurbishment are an amazing TT if your not super pitch sensitive…. Donna at SOTA also sells refurbished units w or wit...

the room is always some fraction of the equation , i like 11 bands of analog EQ below 120 hz to address issues…. just my cup of tea.

Clearer decay….clearly my observational powers don’t emphasize spelling… regrets. I think a more appropriate model for the headshell block / fingerlift / armpipe interface is to think about it as two blocks with a tuning fork hanging off one bloc...

Well - those are two great tonearms @sksos and as i recall Kuzma deleted the fingerlift off even the entry level unipivot for sonic reasons . I would say the lift damping via the shrink was more pronounced on my Lyra cartridge than w Kuzma…but i w...

Lew - I initially blanched when J Carr suggested i remove the finger lift on the Triplaner….. we compromised and i put shrink sleeve on it with the heat gun….

iF you look at my system photos find Denon DP-75 tables both stock factory and custom plinth. While my reference table is a Brinkman the 75’s acquit themselves well. be aware most of the vintage DD tables out of Japan REQUIRE isolation. Finally P...
