Thanks to Paul McGowan Good deal @fertguy . Thanks for sharing!
Thanks to Paul McGowan PS @markprice I like that the 1200s are stable down to 2 ohms.
Thanks to Paul McGowan Thank you @markprice that's great to hear. My speakers are B&W 803 D3 and they drop down to 3 ohms. They will benefit from more power than my current amp. Thanks for the info.
Thanks to Paul McGowan @mitch2 Thank you
Thanks to Paul McGowan OP I'm very interested in your post because I'm currently considering purchasing the M-1200s. I'm confused about you placing tubes. The M-1200s are SS, correct? Where did you install the tubes?
Seriously though, maybe the best tweak is exercise? +1 @waytoomuchstuff
Flexible room treatment material??? Hanging actual quilts would probably look a lot better. Consulting with an interior decorator should be helpful.
Warm, Lush Laid-Back Smaller Floor Standers? "Warm, lush, laid-back". Vandersteen. Any Vandersteen. The all sound wonderful and are easy to drive.

Is a FLAT response the IDEAL? I don't know if a flat response is the ideal sound for me or not. I just know all the albums I have I grade D, C, B, A, and A+ based on how good they sound to me. A flat response is one of the least important criteria I listen for.

Does Hearing Loss Disqualify Me from Audiophiledom? Pretty sure most of us are old enough to have hearing issues. As long as you can enjoy your music is all that matters. You're still in the club!
I Was Stunned @gmosley - that sounds interesting
Help me to build my first stereo system +1 @yogiboy
Class A Tube integrated amp running 100% volume I'm one of the least tech-savvy on this forum, but what you asked sounds ok to me. Running your amp AND your pre at 100% would definitely not be a good idea. |
