I am just very happy with my system.
That's great OP! I know the feeling. I LOVE getting new gear. Enjoy those new speakers!!!
user poll on seperates vs integrated
I've owned integrateds and separates and prefer separates for the flexibility of  changing the pre or the amp.

My vote is the OP is perfectly happy with his system and is joking about saving for new speakers.

My Oppo 103 plays HDCDs. None of them sound any better than my red-book CDs. I wouldn't suggest buying another player just to be able to play HDCDs. I wish I had a 205. I know it sounds better than my 103.

How rare is an audiophile

How rare is an audiophile
I have friends who buy records. I have friends who "spin vinyl". I have friends who listen to music. I have one friend who is an audiophile. In my town of 200K+, I would guess there are less than 20 actual, bona fide tried-and-true audiophiles...
SEEKING AN AMPLIFIER THAT MATES WELL WITH MARTIN LOGAN 11 A IMPRESSIONS
They sounded very good at my local dealer driven by McIntosh
Can you give me your speaker suggestions?
And Monitor Audio. Have the Silver 8s in another system and they make more bass than the 803s. Strongly recommend Monitor Audio over Klipsch or JBL.

My B&W 803 D3 definitely give me "musicians in the room" but they are not in your budget. I would consider Klipsch or JBL. Just my 2c...
"But it sounds better at night...."
My wife says I look better at night. After a bottle of wine.
Hearing protection and Music
Battery powered lawn equipment are much quieter and usually have more torque than comparable gas versions. I don't feel the need for hearing protection now doing the lawn. As others have said, when doing loud work, wear quality hearing protection...
need advise, which is the weakest link in my audio chain
+2 @baylinor  Only thing I can add is maybe try headphones.
