That's what I've mostly been doing lately: turn on pre, turn on amp, then the opposite for turn off: first the amps, then the pre.

i love my tube preamp with my class D monoblocks.  i haven't heard loads of gear, but the tube pre seems to add that bit of warmth and a sense of the sound being tangible that may be missing with straight class D amps.  though i really should try ...

The valium is inside the amp. The pills look a lot like resistors.. just pull them off the circuit board. It'll be fine
