Anybody find themselves revisiting old threads?
I look through the threads when I have time. I'm pretty new here so there's a lot of information out there and I appreciate all of the knowledge shared. I just wish I had more time to peruse the forum.
What new gear have you just bought?
I hope I found a suitable replacement plug for my Rotel CD11 Tribute.  It's  3 prong but I'm gambling it will fit into the receptacle. At this point, I'll carve the darn thing to make it fit. The one I found is 6.5 feet long, a lot more than I wa...
What new gear have you just bought?
@markpao  and others I found two other cords on hand, both 3 prong. One fits in the recess the other doesn't. Unfortunately, both are 18 gauge. So if i just go and order a 14 gauge cord it will be a crap shoot as to whether it fits or not. I rea...

Where you plug the cord into the back of the CD player is recessed. I three prong cord won't fit into it.
What new gear have you just bought?
@oddiofyl  It's for the Rotel CD11 Tribute I spoke of at the beginning of the thread. Standard US 110 volt I would imagine. It's a standard plug that comes with it.
What new gear have you just bought?
rhljazz stated "I swapped out the supplied 18g power cord for another 14g generic cord I had laying around.  This resulted in an improvement in every sonic category."  I definitely want to try this also. But for the life of me I can't find a two...

rhljazz, I actually read about swapping out the power cord for the Rotel. It was probably in a post by you somewhere. It is on the to do list for sure. For what it would cost it is definitely worth a shot. Not finding too many 2 prong (ungrounde...
How long before they jump on this..?
It will be interesting to see how this ends up in the long run. There are many flashes in the pan but every once in a while something really innovative pops up. The stuff is already available for sale at the company’s websites: https://dexmat.co...
Does someone’s opinion affect your opinion?
Most of the people on here have forgotten more than I'll ever know about audio gear. I joined this group to get their learned opinions on  things important to me. Those opinions effect my opinions greatly. Taking all of this advice to heart, I ...
As A Youngster, What Unit Puqued Your Interest In All This?
In the 70's our family had one of those huge RCA stereo console TV's. As a kid it seemed to be 10' long and weigh 1,000 pounds. Way better than a pocket radio!
Making a CD from a cassette
All I'll do is hook my Harman Kardon TD4800 to the inputs on the back and I'm on my way!
Making a CD from a cassette
I haven't given up trying to get my audio cassette made into a CD, but I may have aged less if I did.  I went to a bunch of stores around here trying to locate the proper patch cord to go from my (full size) cassette deck headphones output to th...

jtcf, I tried what you said too. I still get the red bar that says "User can't be blank" even though I typed something in the previous box. Must not be Firefox friendly.
