Classe or McIntosh Is Classe going out of businesssed
Do people still buy Yugo’s?  That was said with tongue in cheek.  I would think the resale on them would drop; which means you could get a much better deal as time progresses.  I don’t know if they’ve “officially” closed, but reports say they are ...
Need recommendation for my hybrid system
Ive been told that the McIntosh gear will make the SF speakers too warm and laid back. Anyone on here have similar or difference experenence with Mac and SF pairing? I did demo the C2500 and MC452, together, with a set of SF’s. It was not to my l...
Got the upgrade itch, fellow audiofiles!
If you don’t have room treatment, I would leave everything and solve that.  It’s to the point now where they aren’t obtrusive and can be made to look like pieces of art or any picture you want.  Then add a DEQX.
Room set up
Room EQ Wizard, if you have a way to input the its test signals into your system.  It’s open sourced/free, just have to buy the mic and will help you get your speakers into position.
Whats playing on your system today?
Led Zeppelin- Physical Graffiti
B&W 804 + AVR850 or 550 in a 5 channel setup with a bread and butter sub.
It’s not my money, so I throw some caution to the wind.  But, I’ve owned the 804’s and that Arcam will not be enough to drive them.  It will sound fine at lower listening volumes and probably not noticeable while watching movies, but when you turn...
Need recommendation for my hybrid system
I realize everything can be very subjective and there are numerous opinions regarding sound.  For me, I’ve found that the McIntosh C2500 has been the perfect fit.  As I progressed in upgrading my amps, swapping between DACs, getting into vinyl...g...
Equalizers- love them or hate them and why?
I tried them, but realized that crossovers affected my attempts to flatten a signal. A system with DEQX seems to be a better way around this.BI second this.  Once my room was addressed with room treatment, I added the DEQX.  I’ve found that the t...
Ps Audio P10 vs Bryston bit 20
Not sure if you’re aware, but PS Audio is releasing a new P series, P20.  May want to wait for that to drop; which I believe is quite soon.  Or, wait for existing P10 owners looking to sell theirs, in hopes of upgrading to the P20.
EQ’ing with DEQX
Anyone use these units with the Sanders 10e speakers?Or any ESL.  Though they are different than a traditional speaker and I don't recall in the manual there being any reference towards differentiating between the two.  They refer to "traditional"...
EQ’ing with DEQX
Thank you Mark.
EQ’ing with DEQX
Thanks, again, Al!
Cocktail Audio X50
Following.  I too would like to hear input on the X50.  Looking to move off of my MacBook and go to a dedicated music server.
IsoAcoustics speaker isolation stands...Thoughts
I wasn’t suggesting, as I identified there’s an audible difference.  Whether it sounds better, the listner in the video seems to think so; which, as we all know, is completely subjective.
IsoAcoustics speaker isolation stands...Thoughts
Well, there is an audible difference in the video and I’m assuming it’s a listener commenting on how much better it sounds with them.  Though, I do question the overuse of the word “smear” in helping define what’s happening to the soundstage.
