How to hook up a preamp to a Integrated amp After looking online, it appears there are different versions of the integrated amp. 1) Has no main amp input and using another preamp is not possible. 2) Has main amp input with toggle switch. 3) Has main amp input with jumpers to output. Which v...
Multizone As you can tell from my previous post, I prefer a wired sound. The SR7011 does give you a variety of wireless options with HEOS. You could just add the HEOS speakers in each room, or a HEOS amp with a pair of conventional speakers, or a HEOS l...
Multizone Using the SR7011 with no other equipment, it can do 7.1 with 1 additional zone. To do both zones, 2 & 3, options are do 5.1 in the main room or with 7.1 in the main room, add an additional amplifier for zone 3. A simple setup with 7.1 in the m...
Multizone 4 zones, so I assume a main HT room and 3 rooms with a pair of stereo speakers. Difficult to say the best option without more information. How many channels for the home theater, 5, 7, or 9? Other than playing a source different from the HT in oth...

Analog output for hifi Not as simple as the Panasonic, but I have found how to set for PCM on the LG. In the user guide, go to 'Tour List of Settings', thenQuick Settings > Sound > Sound Out > Audio Out(Optical/HDMI/ARC) > Digital Sound Out and select PCM.st...
Analog output for hifi kijanki, not so sure the specialist understood the manual. Look at p.160 in the manual under advanced settings. There is a selection between Auto and PCM. The PCM setting states, "Digital output signal is fixed to PCM". The statement on p.54 appli...
Killer Floor Standing Speakers under $4000 for Rock? Sensitivity for the ELAC - Uni-Fi FS U5 is 85 dB at 2.83 v/1m and since it is a 4 ohm speaker, the 1 watt rating is 82db. I seriously doubt the poster would make it through his first hour of listening before the tweeters were blown.
Power setup for 803D's Family Room I seriously doubt there is any A/V receiver that can power the 803D adequately. They need a very stable high current amp.
Analog output for hifi kijanki, obviously my Sony has a selection for PCM. Also, I just looked at a few manuals online for other brands, Panasonic included, and all had a selection for PCM in the menu. I suppose it is possible to not have it, but IMHO, this is not typic...
How much power needed for B&W 683? The B&W 683 is rated at a maximum of 200w. Some above that shouldn't be a problem, however, I don't think a great amount more is wise. Looks like the Anthem 225 may be ideal.
Killer Floor Standing Speakers under $4000 for Rock? "Google the Lirpa Labs Liberty Freedom 1776 A-FY."I did and I'm thinking, LOUD, and lots of it.
Analog output for hifi The composite audio/video on the TV is likely an input and not an output. Here is how I connect my TV to a 2-channel system, and it works extremely well.Digital output on the TV to this inexpensive DAC,https://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/h...
Tube Physics Question I agree with 'pweg', the KT120's may have many hours of use and getting weak. The only way to do a true comparison is to use all new tubes.
Killer Floor Standing Speakers under $4000 for Rock? When I read the title of this post and see "kick ass" and "high volumes", I'm thinking only a higher sensitivity speaker will be suitable for the poster. A 3db increase in loudness requires a double of the power or a 3db increase in speaker sensit... |
