ARC Ref 3 Power Cord
Mitch4tCan you tell me if it was the basic Signal Power Cord or the upgrade silver one they have? How long is the stock cord? Thanks
ARC Ref 3 Power Cord
I looked up the very expensive prices on some of the power cords recommended. I am still wondering if there is someone out there using a Signal Magic power cord on their ARC REF 3. They also offer a Silver Resolution Reference power cord. I wonder...
Cable tv splitters
I blew my 5 channel amp and my 5 speakers over a year ago and I could never figure out why. I knew it had to be cable tv related. I even bought a Furman power/surge protector. After buying the Furman it all blew again. I think I have just realized...

I also got my CD 7 back from ARC a few days ago. If you read WSILL and OREGONPAPA's comments they have hit it right on the "head" with the new performance achieved. It really is a new listening experience. I highly recommend any original owners to...
ARC Ref 3 Power Cord
I was thinking of testing the waters with a Signal Power cord. I use that on all my other components and like it a lot. It is also inexpensive also. Is there anyone out there using this brand?

I was wondering if anyone knows if the modified CD 7 with the new power supply requires any "burn in time" or is it "good to go out of the box" once returned back from ARC?
Are lossless Codec's worth upgrading my processor
I would like to know what percentage of todays new dvd releases are actually encoded with Dolby True HD and DTS HD? Is it one in five releases or what? There doesn't seem to be a mass market of this type of release yet.
ARC Ref 3 Display
That is what I thought also. I think its use is only if you like your room pitch black. I notice no sound difference. I gotta say I like Jim's response however :)

Wsill, how long did it take to get the mod done? From the time you shipped to the time you received? I am trying to figure out if it could be done in time for Christmas yet.Thanks.

Wsill, what was the total cost for the upgrade then? Did you just have to pay for the shipping both ways? I am confused on the cost yet. Will it be a total CD 8 in a CD 7 body? How long did it take.I will certainly want to do the same as you did. ...
Audio Research REF-110 vs. HD-220
I have the REF 110 and love it. I was wondering if it is ok to put a towel or cover over the ARC gear to keep the dust out when they are not being used? Does anyone else out there do this?
Pioneer Blu Ray Player BDP 05 FD
I was wondering if anyone ever tried upgrading the power cord on one of these players for better sonics? I did this with my cd player and found it made an improvement.
Pioneer Blu Ray Player BDP 05 FD
Well, I don't have a receiver just a processor. It can decode regular DTS but that's it. I originally purchased a HD player about a year ago and then it all went south as you know. My audio dealer was cool enough to replace the HD player I had wit...
Pioneer Blu Ray Player BDP 05 FD
That is an awesome response Dtc! Just the info I was looking for. You really hit it on the head for me. Thanks a lot. One question I still have is it sounds like I won't need a receiver to decode the sound of HD DTS and True HD because it is done ...
Pioneer Blu Ray Player BDP 05 FD
It would appear to me that after a little research that the 95FD and the 05FD are essentially the same player. Both decode True HD and DTS HD. The 05FD is listed at $200 less. Is there something more that the 95FD offers? It looks like both were r...
