Stack Audio-SmoothLAN Network Filter- WOW! @ozzy did the clock make a noticeable difference that you would buy it again? I am thinking about adding an ER and AD clock. Thanks
Stack Audio-SmoothLAN Network Filter- WOW! @ozzy Thanks that is exactly what I was interested in confirming. Do you use an external clock or lps on your etherregen?
Stack Audio-SmoothLAN Network Filter- WOW! @jaymark Glad to hear and I am now really looking forward to mine arriving. I also have an STR and that was a revelation in SQ improvement. Can you provide the set up chain you are using? Many Thanks!
Linear Power Supply CIAudio is no longer in business😞
Stack Audio-SmoothLAN Network Filter- WOW! @ozzy can you explain exactly how you have the two connected? Is one connected into the other or are they separated by a cord or device? Curious🤔
Stack Audio-SmoothLAN Network Filter- WOW! Josh responded to my shipping update email and said that their new fulfillment service had a glitch and all orders after mine were filled but mine was not. He also informed me now black was not in stock but he could immediately send silver Fedex....
Stack Audio-SmoothLAN Network Filter- WOW! Ozzy or anyone else- How long does it take for these to ship. I ordered mine last Wed and received an email from Josh confirming but nothing since? Do they send you tracking/shipping info? Thanks
Best 12AU7? @olds1959special Not a fan of the Tung Sol re-issue when compared to NOS. But…they are probably one of the better new tubes. I also really like the RCA 5814a TM BP. Top 3 for me but I don’t see it brighter as you said you preferred. It more neutra...
iFi LAN iSilencer connection Yep these devises are all about reducing noise not recovering lost or corrupted bits. I also tried the Pink Faun Lan filter and it didn’t make a difference on my main system but it did slightly improve my second system which also had optical filte...
iFi LAN iSilencer connection I hope you have better results than I had with the iFi Lan Silencer. It made no difference in my system and was returned. My ethernet goes through optical to filter out noise so that may be the reason. I ordered a returnable SmoothLan filter and...
Is the idea of audiophile listening a dying concept as boomers die off? @tom2015 +++ you are spot on with your post “People under 50 that can afford the pricier items have demanding jobs and families.” I am a perfect example of that. Influenced by my older brothers I started going to concerts and buying records at 1...
Best 12AU7? Agree Telefunken are the best I have heard for a detailed brighter sound. Rca cleartops are an amazing value and sound extremely good on the brighter side as well. Can’t go wrong with either.
SnubWay Question Thread @ozzy check out the thread on Decware’s forum for several + comments. Kamran wrote and extensive review. I think results may be dependent on how good of conditioning/high frequency scrubbing you already have set up. I am not using one of the ex...
Ethernet cables @macg19 yes and they are designed to work together to eliminate different types of noise. Preorders are being taken on Mark’s Verafi site now.
Ethernet cables @macg19 60 Hz is not in Snubway’s range. (200-600 Hz) I would still give Snubway a try it can help in other ways. Main Stream is a new plug shipping in July and it addresses lower Hz 20Hz+ line noise. Both are reasonably priced and returnable. |
