Are there any albums you consider perfect?
I find it odd because I have heard of all these groups and am of an age where I could easily have listened to them. That being said, I never made an attempt to listen to them. Would say it's not my type of music but if it's good enough for Kbarkam...

Kbarkamian, other than the Led Zeppelin you mention, I have not heard any of those albums. I read your post and found that very odd.
Mini Maggie System hurts to listen to
After being impressed in store I demoed the 12QR in my system. Tried all the tricks recommended by members here to tame that irritating sound. After ten days I gave up and returned the speakers. They simply weren't to my taste.
dac advice
I went through the search a year ago and ended up with the PS Audio DLIII. They seem to be listed almost daily, and sell quickly. If you go that route I also recommend you get a Monarchy DIP or one of the other jitter reducers. It took my computer...
Why aren't the older members still active ?
i think as one ages, one realizes that the value of opinions /recommendations becomes less useful.MrtennisAsking for and accepting advice, I agree.Offering or giving advice, not sure about that.
Musical cd plyer under 1k
Bought my Resolution Audio CD50 about 8 years ago and went through a phase of trying to improve upon it with newer technology. The Jolida 100 was one of the cdps that briefly went through the test along with at least ten other players at various t...
Wouldyou have another brand speaker next to mains
Although my listening room isn't big enough to support two sets of speakers sitting side by side, I do have two extra pairs in a closet ready to go when the mood strikes. Just to change things up I'll swap speakers every few months.

I don't get on very often. I guess I have no opinions or my interest lies elsewhere. ShubertmaniacPeople come and people go. But I think the answer lies in your situation.Repetitive threads, inane debates over unanswerable questions, heavy handed...
Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa-"Don't Explain"
A couple of years ago a local radio station was doing weekly "where's Joe Bonamassa?" segments. The dj would get him on the phone and get the latest on what he was up to. To be honest it was a bit cheesy and I never looked into his music as they p...
Magneplanar MG12: good for my room ?
I did audition the MG12s in my room for about ten days as I was considering buying them. Glad I did as they were not at all to my liking. The comment above about being in the sweet spot is right on. If I got up from the chair and walked around the...
Most stylish CD player .
I much prefer the the look of the Bel Canto CD2 to any of the above mentioned players. All of the superfluous gew-gaws do nothing for me. Give me simple, clean lines and pure functionality please.
Review: Dynaudio Special Twenty-Five Monitor
Nice review. More importantly, glad you got them working for your taste. It does sound as if you had to work pretty hard to get them there.I had a similar experience with the Dynaudio 1.3SE speakers a few months ago. One big exception, I never got...
What started you on your audiophile journey .
Music was always part of who I was so my dad brought home a Garrard turntable and Eico integrated amp from a yard sale when I was 14 or so. He did this to keep me away from his console stereo in the living room. I had to build my own speakers from...
FREE - The Audio Optimization Guide For Apple OS X
Will give this a try soon. Thanks.
Apple Mac Mini as a music server
Search the archives as this question is asked two or three times a month.I use a Mac Mini with cds ripped in AIFF to itunes and stored on an external hard drive. The toslink out from the mini feeds a Monarchy Audio DIP which in turn feeds a PS Aud...
