I use a nuforce icon ido to strip the digital signal off my ipod. The ido works great as a headphone amp, preamp or digital output device. One ido is in the bedroom for headphone listening while a second ido is in the main system with the digital ...
good stand speakers with good low end
Bass is the correct spelling. Bass is what you hear, "base" is where you tag up, or slide into, or have on the bottom of something. Look it up...ZkiddIt took you four years come up with this response? ;)
Question about quality of Meadowlark
I just read my post from nearly 10 years ago. Still own Kestrels. I've bought and sold many speakers since then but not the Kestrels. They never ceases to satisfy when called in to duty.
Directional speaker cables - switching direction
I truly envy those who have enough time in their lives to sit and critically listen to their cables and then swap the direction and do it again. And to ensure they heard what they think they heard, do it all again over and over.
Bi-Wire Tuning
Have you experimented thoroughly with speaker positioning? You'll get more noticeable results by moving the speakers a few inches than you will by varying cables. Especially for a speaker with the bass output of the Paradigm Studio 100.

The first watts

Tinnitus
I wear ear plugs if I'm driving more than 30 minutes, keep cell phone away from my ears, don't have the TV up too loud. All of these things help my tinnitus. I also use headphones more than I used to as they seem to keep the tinnitus at bay. Tinni...

Is $3000 pushing the limits for a geat monitor??
Listen to the Revel M106 before deciding.
What would you do?
Maybe look in to some bass trapping in those corners. The room looks great for a system but is a bit sparse IMHO.
Quality system, make poor recordings sound better?
Katy lied by steely dan is a great example concerning this thread. I have always liked Steely dan and heard many times that album has problems. I just didnt understand until recently.I can only come to the conclusion, the resolution of my system i...
speakers for listener with Tinnitus
What do you mean by that? Can you give an example of what happens when you irritate your tinnitus? For me, a little background noise helps. It "covers it up" enough to where I'm not too distracted to it.Zd542When I listen to high frequency audio w...
