Rebuilding vintage Rogers Studio 1 monitors
I Recognize and Appreciate your efforts… (insert applause here)… seriously though, Nice Job. Next time though, use a can of Millstreet or Moosehead… for better bass.
Active Speakers Don't Sound Better
+1 jpwarren58 … vibration isolation There are even benefits (in passive speaker design) to having the xover Not in the Box… but separate, isolated and protected from physical vibrations. Biggest surprise/improvement in the evolution from prototyp...
Does it have to sound good for you to like it?
+1 audiodidact …am in a vinyl club with similar experiences  This conversation has had a lot of contributors Skating  Backwards and some even Crying (a little bit) There is No Crying in Baseball! (I mean audio)
Great Interview-
Selling Audio at the Retail level in the late 70’s and early 80’s… Musicians had the Worst taste in equipment. They either went for Entry Level or Cerwin Vegas… complete waste of your time… I guess nothing has changed???
MQA....again.
I have No Dog in this Fight as streaming is only for background music for me But… Don’t sell Lenbrook Industries short. They have been around far longer than most in Audio, represent distribution on a worldwide scale, own large manufacturing inte...
So, a reviewer just said something I need to talk about.
Interesting perspectives and responses… To be honest about it, I think (for me) It was about the Music when I was Young… It is Now more about the gear….hmmm.

I used the Zeros for about 4 or 5 years with a PP Elekit TU 8340  and various tubes(EL 34, KT 77 and KT 120) driving ML Electromotion ELS, Quad 63s and ET LFT 8s. The Zeros were most effective with the Quads and the Martin Logans. YMMV
What is preferred/best contact cleaner these days?
+1 @tvad
ABX testing with AQ Dragon power cords
+1 @baylinor  Installing dedicated electrical lines to the stereo room has produced a similar experience… correct (as much as possible) the issue at it’s source. When power cables make a Huge difference on highly engineered and market hardened e...
Anyone listen to entire albums?
Vinyl First listener here (90%)…so I often listen to a full album but usually, maybe half the time, only my favourite side. (After having admitting to that…) I recently asked one of the Younger members (mid 30’s) of our local “Vinyl Club” why he l...
Are You A Disciplined Audiophile?
I come from a relatively large family. 5 kids, 2 parents, had our grandmother with us a few years, the occasional boarder and lots of pets… Some of these discussions remind me of The Dinner Table at Home. Lots of Opinions/Experiences. The divers...
Should Amps be plugged into a power conditioner?
Dedicated line from panel to amp. Everything else goes into the power conditioner. After experimenting, this arrangement has worked best for me…. Just sayin’
Are You a Swifty?
Taylor Swift….who is he again?
