A Copernican View of the Turntable System Dear Lewm, Dear Raul - this thread is not about the naked guys only! look in the middle of the thread, also implying the philosophical implications...but thanks, yes I am aware of the option but I do not regard it as the best possible option as I ...
A Copernican View of the Turntable System Dear Lewm, yes - I bought a very good MK II motor unit in a very modest plinth. I would not say it is a master piece. I will let build a new one made of plywood, not a very extravagant solution but carefully handcrafted.Best & Fun Only - Thuchan
A Copernican View of the Turntable System Dear Corby, many thanks for this good hint. Will follow your suggestionBest & Fun Only - Thuchan
How is LAMM LP2 compares to the more recent phono Syntax - Fully agree. This is why I matched my old Monos and Deccas on my EMT R80 with the Lamm MM and a very special SUT (not the Kondo). A Copernican View of the Turntable System Dear Ct0517, got it, sorry i did not think of my ET-2 cause this is such a perfect installation on the Naka I will not change it anyway. My plinth at the moment is not designed for a linear tracker and I do have so many other tonearms lying around...

A Copernican View of the Turntable System Dear all,I asked my carpenter if he could produce a plinth for my SP10 MK II. I know when starting this i left the path of wisdom, at least to most of the supporters of a naked solution. The plinth is 140 mm high. Does anybody know how long the sc...
Micro Max 282 vs. Exclusive EA-10 Opus 111,i wonder a little about your assessment of the Max. I do remember when having owned a 237 some fifteen years ago and when i compared it with a modern arm it lacked some transparence and push. Neverheless it provided a good soundstage. I s...
How is LAMM LP2 compares to the more recent phono Lewm, yes - you are right on this. You need to perform A/B/A and so on comparisons, also using different phono-pres in the same chain, fourth & back. It's a hell of work building up and down. We did it one day long, the Lamm could not reach the...
Uni-Protractor Set tonearm alignment Jazzgene, I suppose your name gives a hint to your favourite music, this fondness we share! while you might already have unpacked your Uni-Protractor let me describe my experience after having aligned two tonearms, the SAEC WE 8000 and the FR-66s....
ARC Reference Anniversary preamp in 2011 Nevertheless to be very honest - it is a benchmark preamp and maybe one of the three very best preamps.Fun Only - Thuchan
Micro Max 282 vs. Exclusive EA-10 Downunder, yes the silver improved substantially. I did it also with my Max 282. It is absolutely worth to do it. You then will have one of the top arms.Fun Only - Thuchan
why do Ortofon SPU C from the 50ies sound so good? I mean the old Mono Ortofons, not the Stereo Pick-Ups - Uups
Uni-Protractor Set tonearm alignment my first impression with the Uni-Protractor is: very well built quality, the magnifying glass is just great. Very precise alignment is possible. Now I need to test the 8 different tonearm specific inlays, will report... and discover new possibilit... |
