Question on FR 66s
Pani,in the case of the FR-66s you may neglect the compliance issue. We made many tests with nearly all available MC carts, MI carts and new as well older MM designs on the FR-66s. No problem at all. It is the most universal arm ever built.
Brinkmann vs TW Acustic
Dear Peterayer,I have no experience with the Vibraplane. But what I learned by my experiments with Copulare, HRS and Micro Seiki platforms it is better to isolate drive and motor on different platforms. If you are using a flywheel cconfiguration y...
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
Digital! - Here I need to take up the cudgels for Raul. It is of course possible to produce a very fine sound by using excellent digital products and match them with a good preamp. But the most important thing in a digital chain is proper Time Ali...
Why will no other turntable beat the EMT 927?
Dear all,I posted since 36 hours but my two posts are not published yet.I have to admit that with this kind of moderation I cannot communicate timely. I have to apoligize for this unprofessional forum management by the moderator. It is not my faul...
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
Raul is really a complex person. Sometimes I do not understand his crusades against good products he is owning like the Micro or the SAEC WE 8000. Either his items are not usable anymore (maybe cheap buys :-) and he developed a certain love/hate r...
Why will no other turntable beat the EMT 927?
Dear Peterayer,I will try to describe the differences I have found with the same tonearm (SME 3012 I - first series, which I regard as one of the best arms ever built- in comparison to some of its direct successors) on the same MS board I have use...
Why will no other turntable beat the EMT 927?
Dear Lewm,I am comparing both, inbuilt and external phono stages. I have the chance to compare a 927 with an inbuilt phono stage as well as my R-80 in connection with the EMT JPA-66, Boulder 2008, Kondo M7 and Zanden 1200 MK II phono stages runnin...
Why will no other turntable beat the EMT 927?
Dear Halcro,"No voodoo is any turntable rest assured! plain facts. EMT927 was designed and built with no shortcuts, power/torque & size of motor, serious bearing, platter height, distance of motor fixation to arm, the list is long....just well...
Why will no other turntable beat the EMT 927?
Sidssp, tell me a modern design you think it will surpass the sound qualities of the EMT 927? I will then tell you if I have not listened to it in all the private systems I was able to study and all the audio fairs I went to. In this case I am eage...
Who needs a MM cartridge type when we have MC?
Dear Nandric, Raul & Lewm,I am happy to learn we are all youngsters.Nikola, I heard that 60 is not very old today. You know I am far away from this and always questioning myself if it is no better jumping from a bridge when the time is right. ...
Brinkmann vs TW Acustic
Suteetat, very helpful description of your experiences. In fact Timeline is a precise instrument but for daily business I prefer my Allnic or my Kuzma strobe. I use the Allnic on my Micro SX 8000 (the blue one). It is nice to put the light in a per...
Brinkmann vs TW Acustic
Suteetat,I use Timeline, Allnic Strobe, Kuzma on my tables. Timeline is by far the most accurate but also very difficult to reach strobe. I wouldn't say that small deviations with the Timeline mean in any case that the table is not working precise...
Micro seiki sx8000 versions
Voraratc, what I meant is that TW Acoustics established a system with their TTs also using armboards like it is possible in the Micro Seiki world. I think this was a clever concept. On the other hand when you compare prices even of original MS armb...
Brinkmann vs TW Acustic
When I read his thread I am reminded of the middle ages when someone (!) discovered that earth is not flat. I think the guy used a spyglass (Timeline) for his discovery a least it supported his research. Learning from some postings in this thread ...
